While I don't like it I am resigned to the fact the dome will be torn down.

However I wonder is there anything you feel the majority of the city would want preserved?

If there any place or thing in Houston you would want to see preserved?

Maybe NASA? or Buffalo Bayou? etc.

Buffalo Bayou is going to look gorgeous when they're finished with the makeover in 2015.

Please keep Popeyes Chicken on 11th street. Their chicken is ALWAYS hot and freshly cooked!

    The Barbecue Hut in Magnolia.

May not be the best BBQ, but that place is like religious to my upbringing.

Same could be said for most relatively "new" cities that aren't on the east coast or west coast.

The little park in Bellaire on Jaquet and Elm across 610 from Episcopal High School. I grew up playing in that park.

I can see them tearing it down to build more McMansions like they have most of the houses on that street.

Son of a b****. I was going to get some pies from there for Thanksgiving. Oh well, looks like I'm going to Flying Saucer.

Whatever happened to Fonde Rec center? Is it still there or have the NBA players found a new place to play pick up games.

That, and MOODY Park. I saw lots of UH'ers and later NBA pro's come back to play a quick 15. I played against some. 'Course, I couldn't keep up.

Honestly? No. And I like that. I've seen Town & Country Mall fall to rubble then rise like a Phoenix in Arizona.

I've seen all of you crybabies cry about the Angelika being demolished, even though y'all never went to a movie there, and now it's the nicest theater in town. It actually carries some value now.

They could the Saint Arnold's brewery into a Wal Mart and something else would pop up in its place.

It's all about, "what have you done for me lately" here in Houston. Let's keep it that way.

No room for charity in my city. Do something for me or kill yourself.
