Why does everything have to do about him?

He doesn't have a copyright to this offense. We're running the offense the Magic did and which Rudy Tomjanovich pioneered in during our championship run. One big with shooters around him. HOU was the first team to really maximize the 3pt shot when it was introduced.

LMFAO Kobe was a lockdown defender for about 6 months a decade ago. He has been a poor defender for years.

I like him too, but you have to be a bit suicidal to go and coach the Lakers as long as Kobe is playing there. Kobe is not getting any better, but Jim Buss is not strong enough not to sacrifice the team for him.

Not really. Some of the concepts on offense are the same and there's some minor playbook overlap, but that's the case with numerous teams. The systems are similar, but definitely not the same.

The Rockets offense is closer to the George Karl-Nuggets than what the Lakers did/do or tried to do.

They sure do run the Mike D'Antoni defense.

When your team is playing worse defense than a Mike D'Antoni team... and you're not from Charlotte or Sacramento... than there's a serious problem.

I don't think he can channel his energy to chucking shots and still play excellent defense

MDA > McHale. Only one of these two came prepared

That is exactly how they beat the Clippers.

Ball movement, Nash, and 3 point shooting, run and run
If they get hot, they are hot

will we see Capela doing Amare-lite things off all those pick and roll actions? Ariza is a better shooter than S Marion was, and actually isn't a bad comparable though Marion was more athletic and a better finisher. If Harden is going to fill Nash's role, does that make Beverley the new Raja Bell? Also makes some sense. Is Beasley the new Boris Diaw? the more i think about it, i'll wait to pass judgment until we see how this works out, if we indeed hire Dank Tony

Not a championship formula if you ask me. Even if the Suns couldn't get past the Kobes and Spurs, you will still run into that problem with the Currys and Durants and Spurs. Plus, who is the LEADER?

I'm not totally against Pringles, we just need to get good assistant coaches.

    BTW, Dank Tony?

The Spurs? The best team of the past 20 years? That doesn't mean much. They beat the Lakers when Kobe didn't have Shaq or Gasol/Bynam.

I don't think there is any magical formula to winning a championship aside from having at least superstar.

McHale wasn't a defensive mastermind but we greatly improved last season before regressing greatly this season. I think the entire coaching staff is more important than just the head coach.
