The Pistons would never trade Greg Monroe for Evan Turner. They would not trade him for Asik. They may not trade him for LMA. I think you are undervaluing Monroe and the Pistons view of him.
Which is why they didn't sign Monroe to an extension before October 31? Monroe is a possibility, because Detroit wants to save that max money for Drummond and is already paying Josh Smith (who's more of a 4 than a 3) $56,000,000 for 4 years. But Detroit would ask for A LOT OF VALUABLE ASSETS, and Monroe would ask for MAX MONEY. And we have neither.
They didn't sign Monroe because the new cba only allows 1 5 year deal per team, they will just match whatever offer he gets next summer

Would you do this trade? I think it would work: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=oms8suo Houston In: Jeff Green Out: Asik Boston IN:Asik/W. Chandler/Shelvin Mack/Mike Scott Out: Green/G. Wallace ATL In: G. WAllace Out: L. William/Shelvin Mack. Mike Scott Denver In: L Williams Out Chandler Rockets do this because Green shoots the 3 at 35% and is a PF. Boston needs to unload Wallace and the price to do that is Green but they get Asik and Chandler. 2 areas where they Lack. C/SF ATL does this because Wallace would be a good fit with ATL and they need a Primeter defender. Denver does this because they are loaded at the SF and Need help in the SG area. Doing this trade boston will probably be play off bound. Houston offense will flow better ATL wont loose a step for loosing Josh Smith because Crash plays about the same role with a lot less money - they would have effectively be better than they were last year. Denver needs to make a move and add another scorer. Chandler is good but his position is hard to find PT in denver. Giving up Chandler sucks but the have Gallo coming back.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/d3b82LJnalg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> this guy hits 3 close to 40% and is on a vet min contact $888,000 cap hit, since we missed him this summer as a FA and clippers GM picked him up, maybe we can trade jones straight up for him ? and we get to keep asik for our playoff run
CAnt trade for him until after dec. also We will be fighting with the Clippers on possible seeding.. I dont see where they would make a trade with us regardless who the player is.
Rockets should take a look at Channing Frye...he is on the last year of his contract and can stretch out the floor at the 4 spot.
Thought about him also watched him play against okc other day 3ball was money ! I saw a report about is and clippers could be interested in a trade somewhere on CF
Yeah I know just was hoping lol, they will keep him for bench depth and 3poknt shooting, he could actually be used with us off the bench, he would fit well in mchales system doesn't make bone head plays or turnovers because of course he is a vet.
I am fairly certain that Channing Frye is fully guaranteed at $6.8 mil next (2014-15) season. I am 100% certain that Phoenix would give Frye away for expiring contracts and nothing else. Phoenix would do this, although I'm not so sure Houston is interested in Frye: Andris Biedrins (expiring contract) to Phoenix Jeremy Lin to Utah Channing Frye to Houston
I think Lin is hard to trade from this team .... unless you get a combo guard who with similar skills in return. When Harden is off the court , they have to have someone who can get to the rim and score - Lin is that guy. The guard rotation of Harden , Lin and P.Bev is one part of the team I wouldn't tinker with as its "working as intended"
A four team trade...??? And Detroit trades Greg Monroe for ONLY Evan Turner...??? The ESPN trade machine is broken...
I think Asik for Spencer Hawes would be a pretty good trade. I don't think they'd throw in a 1st round draft pick, but it would definitely give us a potential 4 that can shoot and play back up minutes at center. Nice thought.
