It doesn't matter if coach McHale loves or hates Parsons we need to face the truth and stay realistic, Chandler Parsons is better than both Garcia and Casspi. I do agree he doesn't play as good as he played last year but it doesn't necessarily means we should already bench him, we Rockets fans have to stay come and let him go back to his rhythm. Casspi has been efficient as for now and I agree, and as much as I love Casspi and I really do because I'm a big fan of him I really don't think he should be opening. Casspi brings spirit and enthusiasm to the table when he comes of the bench, he shows a lot of fight on both hands of the floor and usually it's contagious, Casspi's role is to help the team keep making runs even when some of the starters are resting on the bench. I do like the amount of minutes Casspi is given by his coach McHale and I think it's appropriate according to the abilities he has been showing thus far I think he really impressed most of the Rockets fans. Casspi worked on his defense, on his dribbling and on penetrating to the hoop instead of just waiting to shoot the ball from the three-point stripe. I think Casspi is in his ideal role in this Rockets team, he is doing great on this current role and the Houston Rockets themselves are doing very well too.
As someone said to me in another thread when I said Lopez sucked (I used more words than that), it is a small sample size. My comment about Lopez was before last night's game. Crow is being served in the cafeteria! I don't expect either Harden or Parsons to continue their 3 point shooting troubles too much longer. We'll see, of course.
You don't need to imagine. Lin was shooting 25% from three through 15 games last year. It should balance out.
We're on pace for a 65+ win season. We are doing just fine. The west this year is weaker than last year.
I don't think Parsons should be benched, but have you been watching the games at all? His defense has actually regressed since his rookie year, and he's been making lots of mistakes on both ends of the floor. But like you said, small sample size and his 3 should start falling soon. But he hasn't been playing really well, just decent.
What's up with this new "I hate to be that guy" schtick? Can we all hate being that guy enough to stop actually being that guy?
Road announcers love Parsons even when he's bricking shots and throwing lob passes out of bounds...mmmmm very interesting. Now back to Lin and Beverley...
Parsons, just like harden is having trouble with asik and howard on the floor together. Because TT are restriced to 5ft from the rim, teams are playing 1.5steps closer to the 3pt line. This gives players a quicker closeout. When casspi and garcia comes in,they have a lot more room. Its more than numbers people.
No need to move Parsons out of the starting lineup. But in games where we are off to a slow offensive start, if he keeps hesitating on the 3s and going up for failed layups, substitute him earlier for Garcia. I'd say at the 6 min mark when Bev/Asik gets subbed out for Lin/Casspi, bring in Garcia for Parsons also.
