No thanks. Guy is more injury prone than Yao.

How would everyone feel about Morey doing this trade-

-Asik for Hawes & the Pelles first rounder (top 5 protected).

    -For Hinkie-

-He suddenly turns this team into a fairly elite defensive starting unit for years to come(assuming MKW can maintain where he is at now defensively).

-You still have the Philly's own pick & Noel coming in eventually- That's going to be 2 very good young players (also Noel alongside Asik has the potential to be the best defensive front line in the league if Noel lives up to his potential).

-You have a ton of money in free agency to add a very good player or two next Summer.

    -For Morey-

-you're taking a step back defensively when Hawes is staggered with bench, but you get maybe the best shooting center in the league that can definitely start next to Dwight, and have his minutes staggered to also play backup 5.

-The big unknown is the gamble Morey would be taking with the Pelican's draft pick. Morey can either use that pick and the Rockets pick in trade, or next Summer they have the potential to add top 10 talent to this already stacked roster.

So does swapping Asik for Hawes really impact this team short term? IMO the offense gets much better, but the defense takes a small dip. Sorta a wash, but I actually think the team can be more deadly late in games. Long term???.... Absolutely. You get either one of the best trade pieces out on the market with the Pelles pick, or you get the opportunity to add lottery talent to this team next year to help long term success.

Give it some time guys......Horford (I HOPE) or Milsap will be on the market soon.

Id prefer Horford and I think Horford prefers US! :)

    Question.

How is Channing frye playing? I see him as a possible stretch 4 backup big off the bench we could get for cheap with phx tanking.

I don't watch phx, and while I don't see him as a starter, I know he's a seven footer that can hit big 3s.

    Here's a radical idea:

Maybe we don't need to trade for a 4? Maybe the Casspi/Parsons rotation is all we need?

Maybe we could use a another young athletic slashing forward who can defend and get his own shot?
Wouldn't that fit our style of play better than another Asik-esque slow big-man like LMA or Ryan Anderson?

    Asik for Evan Turner

    1st unit: Lin/Harden/Parsons/Casspi/Howard
    2nd unit: Bev/Garcia/Turner/Parsons/Smith

Re-sign Turner and Parsons in the offseason.
Tell me you don't like the idea of an under 28 core of Lin, Harden,Turner, Parsons, Howard
Tell me you don't like the idea of shoring up our perimeter defense when we live in the age of elite PG's and SF's
Tell me we can't dominate the 4th Q with Bev/Harden/Turner/Parsons/Howard

As a fan of Jones & D-Mo's I hope they both get traded somewhere else and shine. Houston just isn't a good place for them or any rookies for that matter to develop.

    6-11 or 10 than 7 footer.

He'll be an expiring contract next year.

Getting Frye would be a stop gap fix but worth it if the Rockets can snare one of the Suns four 2014 first round picks.

    Lin, Asik, Smith
for Dragic, Plumlee, Frye, and a 2014 first round pick

That's some very valuable trade assets for next year.

Millsap would be great, but the Hawks won't trade him this season, next summer maybe.

not just Amir Johnson, you probably not familiar with Spencer Hawes either since you didn't even mention his name in the trade proposal. Hawes' a 7-footer who can play both PF and Center. in less than 30min/game he's averaging 15.8pt, 10.5Reb., 3Ast., 1.3Blk., 0.5Stl., .581FG%, and .5003P%.

another trade idea would be start Casspi and trade Asik+Bev for Rondo:
    Asik + Beverley + T-Jones + 2014 top-10 protected 1st round pick
    for
    Rondo + Faverani

i think Rondo's gonna request a trade sooner than later. Celtics might want to trade Rondo for best offer before the deadline before it gets ugly.

our line-up after the trade (and bring back Camby later on)
    Howard, Faverani, Camby
    Casspi, Smith, Motiejunas
    Parsons, Gracia, Covington
    Harden, Lin, Brewer
    Rondo, Brooks, Canaan

Not sure what it would take but a Paul George trade would be awesome IMO. He is as good as ANYBODY in the world at DEFENDING LEBRON, we need DEFENSE!

Anybody know if a Lin + Parsons for George trade could work?

I mean the Pacers have a bunch of wing players but they need a ball handler, Lin could help them alot plus Parsons is the best value in the NBA and they could resign him for cheaper than Paul George.

I love CP but I would give him up to have George about as fast as you can snap your fingers and give me a smile!

This trade would be good for both teams... I mean I think lol. But again I haven't looked up the salaries and I don't know if it would work. What do y'all think?

Unfortunately the Rockets cannot acquire Frye without giving up one of Asik or Lin. That's sort of the deal-breaker here. If they had the option to pick him up after a buyout with their MLE or could trade one or more of their young PF's for him I would do the deal, but giving up one of Asik & Lin for Frye is too much value.... especially if Ryan Anderson really is an option. Ryan Anderson pretty much does the exact same thing as Frye... just he's much, much better at it, and doesn't come with a heart problem.

I don't think they would trade George for Harden, let alone Lin and Parsons. Paul George is an elite two way wing player.

The way Paul George keeps improving?

If Miami called and offered LeBron. (Not gowanns 2 happen.) If OKC called and offered Durant. (Not gowanns 2 happen.)

All other phone calls? Hang up.

Ahh I just saw he recently resigned I wasn't aware of that, I thought I heard something somewhere that they were trying not to pay him but I guess I was mistaking or it was someone else. Parsons needs to run his trade value up!!
