    This is pretty crazy stuff. He is apparently claiming it was an accident but from the CCTV video I don't believe it for one second. People are just straight crazy.

    i see it as a possible accident

    just sad...can't even imagine. Seems like one of the most painful things to deal with. especially recovering from the injuries

    Smoking a cigarette near a gas pump while fueling up is an "accident" sure ................I hope some of the comments on this thread are sarcastic. He should be tried for attempted murder if they find evidence.

    The first thing Joe said when he met her was that she was a hotty, just smoking hot. Things were good at the beginning and they always had a blast. Unfortunately, the relationship was started going downhill and became volatile because she's a big hothead. That night they were having a pretty big blowout argument. She was fuming and called Joe a flamer. It didn't help that they had just left a Mexican restaurant and she had gas from hot sauce. She was also was pretty lit from the Yeager bombs.

    But seriously, sucks for her. Serious burns are just about the worst thing that can happen to you. Looks like he tried to spray her with gas. Hope he pays for this.

    All kidding aside, I can't imagine what she will be going through. Not only recovering from her injuries but the fact that she has to deal with who caused them.

    That is why you don't smoke cigarettes near a pump and also why you don't pull out the fuel nozzle when it becomes lit on fire. His first reaction was "OH **** MY TRUCK!!!" and didn't even think that pulling out the nozzle would just be like having a flamethrower spewing gas out there nor where it was aimed at. Complete morons but yeah it looks like an accident.

    Watching the video in slow motion, I think it was unintentional. He has the cigaratte in his hand as he reaches for the nozzle. The fire starts at the gas cap area. Unfortunately, she happened to be on the business end of the nozzle, and got sprayed as it was removed.

    He's a complete moron. However, she's equally dumb for standing near a man SMOKING WHILE HE'S PUMPING GAS!
