He's a sf in a costume playing pf. It really just shows how far the nba has fallen in terms of pfs who actually play in the post.
I think it is enough for him to be the 7th guy..... If he wants to become a starter or get even better to another level, he has to shoot off dribble, making a lot more plays than just spot up shooting. I would say stick to his traditional game for now.
He had five assists tonight and at least one made shot off the dribble I can recall. He's already much more than a spot-up shooter for us.

Nope. Kings fans thought so too. Not exactly a pretty picture, although you kind of expect that from a player of his career history. http://www.kingsfans.com/threads/casspi.53843/
Next game he is blocking two shots and he is another lesser Howard? Shot blocking Forward? All I am saying I don't call Parsons a point forward and he is averaging 4 assists a game compared to 2.7 for Casspi.
Can he also be a poor man's Travolta on that pic? "Then I get night fever, night fever. We know how to do it."
was mcgrady the last point forward to suit up for us? casspi throwing lobs to howard and truly getting asik, like only carlitos could.
OK, I wouldn't call him a point forward either, but game after game he's been making plays beyond those of simply a "spot-up shooter." I'd call him a "well-rounded stretch four" so far.
I'm just as surprised about that, And I'm an Israeli Who's been watching him since way before his NBA debut! Had no idea he could dribble and pass like that. He really worked on his game, and he's a hard worker. Great stuff. I'm so glad for him and for the team. It's nice how this piece fell just in the right spot. I think it's pretty rare to find such a close-to-perfect fit. I know it won't always be a rose garden like it is now. Omri and the team will have their ups and downs. Still - a true win-win situation, it turns out. ------- Oh yeh - As to CH's question - Neh, probably more of a corner forward, though he does tend to do that finger thing...
Casspi is a Versatile Baller. I am glad that the Rockets picked him up. With improvements on D, he will likely be a Strong Sixth Man of the Year candidate along with Lin, Bev & Cisco. Basically a Fantastic Four
Point forward I wouldn't mind but I guess McGrady at his best was an allround scorer. Harden is a point SG.
