because it's not what it should be. it should integrate hangout data messages and sms messages in one thread like imessage does.

    they should fix that

isn't that a matter of preference? i can say "it is what it should be." right?

i prefer not to have them merged. i don't txt and hangout with the same person. if i did, i'd like to know when which convo happened in which.

really can't understand how an SMS thread would change into a hangout thread and and back to SMS. would be some stream of conscious clusterfudge.

argument would be valid if it were about having the messaging app added back, but it seems as if this is more of a hub for short message.

apologies if that makes zero sense. :)

He took a picture with extreme differences in brightness. A very poor test shot for detail, noise, and sharpness. But a good test shot for dynamic range, which seem to be pretty awesome in this sensor. You can see all of the details in the dark areas without it blowing out the sunlit tree leaves.

no reason to fragment messaging but google has said eventually it'll happen to where both data messaging and sms are integrated seamlessly

question, i just received some good financial news that will allow me to get the phone. should i wait a few weeks for any software tweaks to be ironed out or just go for it now?

And theres never any good deals like this around black friday for cell phones right? since it wont be shipping for about three weeks anyway, should i wait?

i want a new phone but im not dying over here without it; my htc sensation is still working decently considering its age. so if something better is coming along relatively soon, i dont mind waiting. thanks in advance guys!

You can place your order now and they'll charge you when it ships. I doubt there will be any deals for this phone, at least not any time soon. It's already priced at a great value for an off contract phone.

Right now there isn't anything in the horizon for Android as far as I know. The next "big" Android phone will probably be the Galaxy S V which won't be till Q1 2014. If you really want the Nexus 5 though, I say go ahead and order it.

Maybe disregard what I said last night about LTE on T-Mobile (or maybe T-Mobile already fixed something). Testing out LTE at work this morning, and definitely getting about what you'd expect (20-30 mbps, low ping, 5-8 mbps, and that's without a great LTE signal). Some of the Speedtest servers seemed to be giving me problems, though switching around, I'd finally get better performance.

My rooted n4 was on TMO LTE. Some parts of the city, I got really strong singals. Other parts of town, like in my apartment lol, not so much.

That range is not all that unique for most new phones.

on very first full charge, looks like battery life is the same as N4 thus far. I'm on wifi most of the day and I can get through a work day and most of the early evening with about 3.5 to 4 hours of screen on time. That's with everything enabled. That looks about where i might end up today with the N5. I was hoping for a little bit better performance. We'll see how the week goes.

Read his iPhone reviews and you'll know. The guy asked why does the nexus 5 exist. He doesn't even know how to access Google now and takes a photo of the nexus 5 upside down.

So that cancels out the reviews for the Moto X or HTC One then? It could just be he really liked the One, Moto X and iPhone and not the N5.

Yes, nexus 5 outperforms both those phones and has vanilla android. He uploads all his photos using an iPhone. There's nothing left to argue. Hell all my points were mentioned in the comments section of his article. His review was a joke. Laugh and move on.

You really have no basis for saying that without a comparison picture. How can you know how dark or light it was? You don't.

You just threw out a baseless attack no matter what you saw.

Comment sections of tech blogs probably aren't the best place to pull objective information from.

In any case, pegging someone who has praised multiple phones as a fanboy doesn't make much sense. If the dude panned everything Android I would definitely agree with you. Could just be he wrote a ****ty review. Sometimes reviewers just really dislike (or like) a single product. It seems like these days thanks to stupid Phone Warz, tech blog comment fights and clickbait links that point is often lost.

An 'attack'? At who exactly? A camera? I thought it wasn't a very good picture. Jesus Christ.

Almost every review pegs the N5 camera as somewhat average. I don't exactly think I was going out on a limb here.
