    Voted no.

If a place as historic as Yankee Stadium can go, so can the dome.

If they had come up for a better proposal, I might have been on board. But another convention center? Not thanks.

I don't live in Texas, but this board is composed of a lot of Houston sports fans. If the majority here are voting no, then goodbye dome...

The majority here are also young. No votes were mostly from young people and Yes votes from old people who remember the dome.

I'm 26 and I'd be for it. Some good memories as a kid there.

Dome vote is getting shot down. Woot!

No public money going into private pockets for the sake of keeping someone's nostalgia boner erect.

The original Yankee Stadium died in 1973 with the renovation. Shows how much you know about history. No wonder why you're voting to tear down the only history THIS CITY has.

It's more than nostalgia (although houston has NONE, which lessens the city).

The city has no convention space, redoing the astrodome is an easy solution to that

    LOL.

George R. Brown and Reliant Center are two of the largest convention centers in the country.

What evidence do you have that there's no convention space? I've never heard such a thing.

This vote is not about tearing it down. It's about turning it into a convention center. Put down your pitchfork, honkey.

You are joking right? How much more convention space does this city need?

You blind imbecile, it's going to get torn down i the vote doesn't pass. You seriously think this city wants a vacant structure standing next to Reliant Stadium for Super Bowl LI.

Shove that same pitchfork up your brain so you can think for once, you dumbass.

Better yet, let's not stop with the Dome. Let's turn San Jacinto monument into San jacinto Mills Mall. The Battleship of Texas into a Party Boat. Nothing is sacred in this town...

Why does that show how much he knows about history? The original Yankee Stadium is gone. What is incorrect about what he said?

San Jacinto monument commemorates a battle for Texas independence. The Astrodome is a freaking football stadium. Get a grip.
