I agree it is Coaching problem. I believe the Coach trying to put Beverley on starting line up to cover Harden's defensive weakness is also a bad move in long term. Harden needs to improve on his defense.

See the thing about Harden is he likes big booty. Nothing wrong with dat. However the thing about big booty is that it drains you in every sense of the word. After a big session with a phat ass, your legs feel like jello. But teams are going to increasingly run him around and around if theres any correlation between that and his power puff offensive display. Lin did as good a job as he could've, but I would've much rathered Beverley in this matchup, seemed like Lin was left alone on an island against Paul and that just can't happen, needs to be able to utilize his help more. Lins style of defence where he trails and gets back really doesnt work against Paul (not that many people do) cause when someone with his vision can get penetration like that and basically wherever he wants on the floor, not good.
Hopefully Harden has seen all the hate he's been getting over his defense and really tries this game /optimistic
If the best player on a team doesn't play D, it's not going far. That means the competitive spirit isn't high. Think if MJ, Kobe, Dream, Shaqe, LeBron, TD etc don't put great effort in D, how will the other players play? If Harden doesn't play D he's not top 5. In order for him to play D, his load in O needs to be lowered. This is on the coaching staff to make happen.

woah Harden already in the Lebron, MJ, Duncan, Hakeem league? At only 24 after only one year of establishing himself as a superstar? You all are overreacting a little too much. You could tell he came out there exhausted, probably was up all night. The other 3 games and the preseason games the defense was on par. But of course everyone cherry picks to one game
Yeah! Reddick is probably going to average 30+ a game this year and lead the league in scoring. Nothing wrong with Harden's defense.
I thought Harden was stepping it up on D at the start of the season, but the last three games his D has been abysmal. It's like he's completely asleep on defense of late.
