lol there was NO foul in that clip, everytime the rockets got the lead to 9 or were about to make a run, the refs would make some kind of fluke call like illegal defense, or intentionally miss blantant fouls by clippers on the rockets
HAHA, clearly you don't know the nba. while i do not agree with superstar preferential treatment, it's something that is not going away.
yo smart guy, do not come at me saying: "lin should get this foul because (enter superstar here) gets those same calls!!" get that through your thick skull.
In the first quarter Lin got absolutely HAMMERED by Jordan...no call, block by Jordan. Wow. And that was just the beginning. Hey, it's LA.
Refs are bias...it seems like some of these zebra looking dudes either hate Howard for leaving LA or a personal fans of the Clippers.
wake up you people, we've got 18 more FT than the Clips ,sure the ref made some bad calls, but blame them for the loss? not even close!
My favorite was the 3 second defensive violation called when the ball was in the paint. Game was a joke, the refs gave the Clippers as 12 point lead in the first quarter by taking out our two best players with ridiculous foul, and that was the point differential the entire game. But this was a schedule loss, should have expected it. No wins against the Clippers in Staples Center during the regular season.
Did you watch the whole game? Saw how the refs took out Howard & some of the starters in the first quarter/first half? Hard to come back from that first quarter/first half deficit against a really good offensive team.
It's not about # of FT attempts, it's about when the fouls were called. Howards got 3 fouls in the first quarter along, that effectively took him out of the game. Most of the bs fouls were called in the first half, to the point of absurdity.
getting 18 more FT does not mean ref was on our side lol.... only means that our guys where becoming more aggressive...
It would have been amazing if somewhere near the 3rd quarter McHale just benched all his starters and played everyone at the end of the bench. Then on a hot mic just announce to the refs and the announcers at mid court: "I'm not playing my best players because you guys already decided who is going to win this game." But that's just me dreaming.
Just put this in the wrong thread, so I'm parking it here. No, it isn't why we lost, since we seemed to be running in quicksand most of the game, but while it's early in the season, I hope this isn't a long term trend this year. So far, the refs have put a target on our backs, and it isn't there so they can toss us some Twinkies. People can say, "Hey! We got to the charity stripe more than the other chumps," but if a couple of key players get called for "fouls" before they've even started to sweat in the first, then we're up against it before the game's really begun.
But whenever we try to play defense, the refs call a foul on us just for breathing on a Clippers player. Which makes it almost impossible for us to play defense. So we don't play defense at all because we are too scared of being fouled out.
Something just ain't right, that's criminal. I hope I'm alive 40 years down the road when all this stuff gets exposed.
