not surprised at all. Paul is the premier PG in the league, the primary ball handler on his team, and the whole offense runs through him.

You're absolutely right. That said, I guess Reddick ate breakfast, lunch and dinner too.

If Harden would play inside the offense and focuss just on scoring and defensing and occasional playmaking when lin gets doubled he could be way more efficient. but no he hogs the ball for long period of times which costs us games. Let Jeremy run the point who's better at creating and stop trying to be Lebron.

Can you give me more than one or two examples of posts citing Lin as the focal point in this loss?

    About the game:
The Rockets just put up an embarrassing effort on defense tonight. I'm really disappointed, but it's a long year. They just don't seem motivated to start the year, we've been able to win until now because our talent has been so much better, but we are not winning against quality teams with this nonchalant attitude.

Harden's "D" was embarrassing on Reddick, especially in the 1st quarter. The whole team, from top to bottom, just didn't seem to care on the defensive end.

I liked what I saw from Dwight in the second half. He needs more shot attempts. Too bad the refs took him out of the game in the first half with some ticky-tack fouls.

Kinda glad McHale benched Harden in the 4th. Yeah, he still would have probably gotten his 20 points had he have played, but the effort wasn't there tonight from him for whatever reason. Probably too much partying the night before.

That Parsons missed dunk was just a killer too, we looked alright for stretches in the second half. We've got to figure out a way to come out with more intensity from the start, we always fall behind early in the game.

This is the same **** that happened last year against the Clippers in LA. They just couldn't miss in the 1st quarter and we were playing from behind all game. CP3 just went off, can't wait to get Beverly back. He would have gave an effort on defense. Wish all Rockets played defense with his mentality. CP3 would have still gotten his points, but at least Beverly would put some damn pressure on him.

Ah, well. An acceptable loss, we just need to keep improving throughout the year.

Lin was out the entire game because of foul trouble?

One of the big reason why Lin and Harden can't penetrate as easily with this Clippers team is because you have two very athletic players in Griffin and Jordan covering the paint. It's almost like trying to get through Asik and Howard.....87 points were not in the paint for the Clippers....Clippers was just pure hot from the outside tonight.

That 4th quarter is on Lin. He got into the foul trouble himself.

How demoralizing must it be to defend CP so well to start off, and then have one bogus foul called on you after another? There's no winning. If CP can stick his leg out into you and have it called a foul, he's literally unguardable.

Again this is bad coaching. If Harden is having an off night and the opponent is playing such a great team ball by setting great picks for the pg, we have to do the same thing so our pg can penetrate to set up the shooters or dish out to the bigs for dunks. Return team ball with team ball. When Harden is playing bad offense and defense, no hero ball can save the day. The coach must make this adjustment to be competitive. You can't just depend on your star to win by hero ball. As a coach, you need to make the call to enhance better team play based on the game situation.

Stop contradicting youself. You said he would have the same stats as paul if he had Paul's teammates but that is so outlandish it's farsical.

He did, as has been pointed out dozens and dozens and dozens of times in this thread.

Jesus, are the criticisms of everybody BUT Jeremy typed in invisible ink to some people or what??

Relax bro there is a slim to none chance that Harden goes on a slump. Rarely will a superstar slump in basketball especially when he didn't slump the first 2 games.

Lin could have had 17 assists if the Rockets shot better. After all the Rockets only shot 50% from the field.

Lin had a respectable game. Paul is just the best. Harden was out of it. Dwight didn't show much either. Asik was middling. Casspi and Garcia brought the spirit as usual. Beverley would have helped. Brooks' game was not bad. CP3 is CP3. Can't complain about that part. Greg Smith had some nice minutes.
