What was disappointing was Harden's defense. I hope his ankle isn't bothering more than he is letting on.

There is someone named Tony Parker who might not be able to stop CP3 on his own but always helps the Spurs win against the Clippers.

I am sure Sampson is going to rip Lin a new one after this game. It's just a matter of how many boards he will smash this time.

Incidentally, it seems the Clippers always have a fast start on the Rockets when Harden is on the team. The Rockets only defeated the Clippers once last season and that's when Harden and Parsons were both out and the refs were helping the Rockets.

I think it was interesting how Morey gives props to CP3 AND Rivers. May be looking too much into it...

But it reminds me of that time Lebron was reading Harden stats to Wade. It seems like a very subtle jab.

Doc Rivers is overrated and not a very good in game coach, still better than McHale tho. But of course, he has a lot more experience.

This is what happens when you have two bigs that can't make shots. Dwight and Asik are great defensively but it's like they're still in highschool when trying to make buckets.

Exactly. They moved the ball extremely well, and beat up our guards with picks after picks after picks.

Our half court offense is pretty much unwatchable.

Getting into foul trouble ≠ playing well.

Our entire team dropped the ball today. Everyone is to blame. Other than Greg Smith, that dude almost got us back into the game.

Having a bad game is one thing. Playing like you don't give a damn is another. The frustrating thing is he can be a pretty decent defender. But its all about effort and tonight there was zero.

Harden was tossing bricks and played 0 defense, glad McHale didn't give him the opportunity for him to to rack up his 21 pts.

Clippers were hot. Lin and Howard for in foul trouble early and they couldn't play as aggresive for the rest of the game. It wasn't hardens night. Team defense was bad. Casspi seemed to be the only one who showed up to tonight.

    Tank for wiggins?

Ball pressure defense is not going to change anything. It slows down the guard from bringing the ball up, that is it. If you watch the game, CP3 did not need to bring the ball up fast. He approached the ball slow enough for his bigs to set picks, then he speeds up on the attack. The only way to help is a smaller guy to switch on him to keep up with him as a team defense. This has to do with coaching and making adjustment. Bev cannot switch back to CP3 that fast when picked. But McHale never seemed to insist his bigs to do the same like the Clippers to set picks for the pg. It ends up everybody just stayed at their spot and wait for the ball to dump in to them, and Lin couldn't do much to attack when this is the case. When Smith was subbed in, he immediately set picks for Lin and Lin attacked every time. This is coaching and McHale has to insist more picks for a speedy attacking pg like Lin. It is better for everybody and the team. Why on earth McHale didn't insist the bigs come out to set picks?

Man, Lin isn't even Paul's standards, why are you comparing them.

In any case the major cause of this loss isn't even on Lin. He played ok- not great, but not horrible as well.

Clips still don't look to me like a team that can make a championship run because of their defense. At least we have shown signs of having a competent defense at times. Clips can't stop anybody.

    .

Harden had a bad night but he will be a monster in the next game.

It was frustrating to see JJ Reddick score more points in the first quarter then all the Rockets starters combined tonight. 8(

I'm just really confused why we stopped running PnRs. Harden was asking the screeners to go away so he could ISO.

Lin and Smith ran the PnR and we started scoring.

Same offense when he was with Boston. Lots of screens, cuts, rolls. And with a PG like CP3, just smooth. This is why he was so adamant on getting a shooter like Redick.

Really? Harden 0-7 from 3 is their fault? Dwight 3 fouls in 6 minutes?

Guys quit b******, Rockets is still ahead of the Spurs in their division and sitting on top with some other teams at the #1 spot at 3-1. Every team, except Indiana, has lost so swallow this loss and move on. With a great team you can't lose the game in the 1st quarter and expect to crawl back...it doesn't happen very much. The mere fact that the Rockets climb back to single digits says a lot about this team. If you think about it, those two stupid missed dunks by Howard and Parsons probably loss the game for Houston. Also, if that 3 pont by Garcia had gone in and cut the lead to 5 or 6 it would have been a totally different game.

Hopefully Harden was able to get a date with that hot asian chick sitting behind the bench. He had all of the fourth to work on her.
