What is this garbage ? We should have obviously started off this game with Casspi playing.

Yeah, I dont understand this garbage strat. Howard is a C through and through. You can't play two C's in today's game without being burned by the other team's stretch 4

Twin towers getting us off to slow starts and getting us out of whack. We need to play our style of basketball.

Save the twin towers junk for Memphis...San Antonio...

Dwight and Asik don't even play that much together. They play for 6 minutes in the first and 6 minutes in the 3rd. refs were in full force tonight..nothing could be done.

Don't blame the refs. Yeah Harden and Howard got in foul trouble in the 1st, but it's not the refs fault that Harden took the night off.

I'm not worried though. Maybe next time Harden won't have a hang over.

Kidding of course idk if he got drunk this weekend lol.

Those 6 minutes are putting us in a massive hole it seems. Think about it. If McHale actually believed in the twin towers he would play the lineup more often rather than just in the 1st quarter. As it is, the lineup is putting us in a hole to start the games.

Hakeem and Sampson were twin towers. Asik and Dwight are autistic towers. They both struggle on offense and should not play together.

    we should try greg smith

    bev/lin or lin/bev w/e
    harden
    parsons
    smith
    dwight

greg smith is a better finisher around the rim and is a better roll man than asik.

But it's definitely a factor in defending a team like the Clippers, who has a great PG, while the SG and SF can shoot from anywhere.

Griffin and Jordan don't even need to be the focus of the offense. Paul penetrates and kicks it out to Reddick / Dudley / Crawford = money.

I don't get the point of twin towers if Asik only averages 23 mpg and 10 of those with Dwight. What is the point of starting like that. We need to start out smaller from the get-go, and try the twin towers in the middle of the game based on how that game is going.

We needed better help defense against teams like this and the lack of mobility hurt us bad. I don't know how I feel about the Twin Towers.

Griffin and Jordan don't shoot 3's, or stretch the D in any significant way, so the Twins towers didn't hurt our D.

Team defense as a whole isn't prepared to deal with a focused Clipper team, in their gym.

It's a long season, guys need to chill.

we all sound like broken records. I guess we can try casspi for a while til we start complaining on why casspi can't guard KG.

    TT definitely hurt the D.

When they can rotate to an open shooter, they don't. Having a player like Casspi in means more mobility to get in the face of perimeter shooters. Quicker rotations on defense against a team lighting is up from outside.

Twin towers absolutely hurt the team tonight. Wasn't the only thing, but the rockets clearly play better without two centers on the floor.

    1st quarter

It will be bad coaching as long as McHale tries to force feed a starting lineup of Asik/Howard on the floor. They got outscored by the Bobcats 19-17, Jazz 24-16, and now the Clips 42-25. Only reason the Mavs aren’t listed is because Asik got in foul trouble the first minute of the game, and what do you know, the Rockets finally win a first quarter 38-22. - you cant make this stuff up

TT should not be THE play for us. McHale should use TT on a rotation base as when needed, and a spark to break the opponents run at certain period of the game.

When TT is in play, we need to know how to funnel the offensive play and pushout for jumpers. JH, CP, OC, FG and JL can hit those open jumpers.

Apart from the first game, McHale seems had forgotten to instill the Bigs to set moving screens and picks for JH, CP and JL. Clippers had indeed showcased their screen play very well. It just creates open space for easy jumpers or drives.

Pretty much. Good to hear we have *some* grounded rational people that actually watch the game.

People like to overlook the 29-4 run to comeback against jazz in 3rd with TT.

People like to overlook the 1 million rebounds in the first 2 games with TT.

against clips Harden and Howard were taken out of the game at the beginning.. Go look it up, we had to play greg smith for christs sakes. Im not saying smith sucks because he plays hard and did well...I like the guy ..but greg smith is NOT part of our standard lineup. What does that tell you ?? - That we were stymied by fouls from the get go.

credit to clips for keep the lead at arms length of -10 to -15 all night and trade baskets but to blame it on TT is simply ridiculous.

The clips went up by 12 due to fouls and reddick and the lead stayed like that rest of game. So we were basically trading baskets from beginning of that lead until end of game.

Harden looked terrible and not sure how that is TT fault?

People see what they want to see and not guarding reddick at beginning is not on TT.
