that was a problem too and it took a while before he got any sort of rhythm going..

but everyone is gonna have to stop disagreeing with me for the sake of disagreeing with me when you see what I'm talking about.. it goes a long way.

Have you been to the NBA playoffs, finals, won a championship? No..? It's 4 games into the season there's still 78 games to go. A long long way. Howard has been playing well for us and not doing anything detrimental to the team by acting "nonchalant". So whatever. It's not an issue.

I thought Dwight possibly had the best game of anyone tonight. Too bad he sucks at free throws though.

This game certainly wasn't on him though. He was pretty effective in the post in the 2nd half.

have you done those things yourself since you ask me from such a position of higher accomplishment?

its not detrimental, no. it really isnt. but we're trying to win rings and a dominant bigman needs to assume the role. in all ways.

All your crap about body language means nothing, see Tim Duncan, he looks downright disinterested in most games.

It's about performance, and the team as a whole performed poorly today, one game.

This loss says more about how good the Clippers are than how bad the Rockets are, IMO.

That Clippers team is going to be SCARY come playoff time. That was some of the best ball movement and cutting without the basketball I've seen in a long time.

Doc Rivers is one of the two best coaches in the NBA.

tim duncan has a serious demeanor though..

dwight isnt in his "zone" yet this yr.. as many of you have said its early.. so it could come.

but he needs to realize its more serious than playtime now

Do we have to go through this again?

I thought it was well established that Dwight likes to play with a smile on his face? Lets not be Laker fans about this.

You know Miami has already lost two, right? That means their team culture is bad?

    Stop with the knee jerking.

I agree he was getting to the rim with ease against Deandre, who people think should be in the running for DPOY. I don't think Deandre is that good defensively, but he is big, and long, and he didn't really bother Dwight. There was one shot that Dwight wanted to throw down on Deandre's face but didn't know where he was after getting by him and smoked it. For the love of gawd, let Dwight eat in the post!! I wouldn't have been mad if they feed him all night.. It probably would have slowed the game down in the the first qtr.

The point is that I still don't see us as having a reliable second scorer. Does anyone on here feel comfortable that Howard could get 35 if Harden is struggling?? I don't. We have two "stars," but really only one of them is a reliable scorer. Not sure this is the formula for a championship team.

Did you watch the Magic with Howard, he hasn't gotten worse. It's just a matter of everybody learning how to play with him. That situation in LA was a perfect storm of failure, neither Gasol or Kobe wanted to feature him in the post, and he was hurt.

While not a monster, he has proven he can be the focal point of very good teams, much less the secondary option.

This is the problem: Dwight is dependent on Guards to get him the ball. If Dwight had guards that realized he is open in the paint or would just give him the ball with deep post postilion he would be just as reliable as Harden. Those windows close fast; opportunity lost in a split second. You will seed Dwight explaining how he wants the ball in game all the time.

Harden has the benefit of all ready having the ball to initiate his offense.

Dude, every time we give him the ball in the post he either turns it over or misses! I think this is a misconception that he can post up. We are better off NOT posting him up and using him more in pick and rolls. I actually think he is much better facing up and using his quickness to get around defenders. But as a back to the basket post up guy, I hate to say it, but he sucks. Needs more work with Hakeem I guess.

Well I have watched every game thus far including pre-season and have yet to see it. What I see is awkwardness and indecisiveness in the post which leads to turnovers and/or misses more often than not. I sure hope this changes.

Orlando had 4 consecutive 50 win seasons, all with very good offenses, with him as the go to guy. Everybody just needs to learn how to work with him, he is a good offensive player, just give it time.
