They aren't being picked to win the Championship. It's a power ranking. They are being picked as the hottest team in the league right now. Consider they have the strongest 3-0 record out there, I don't disagree. Carter-Williams really has been surprising. I thought the Holiday trade was great for them from the start, but saw them as a mid-range team with a talented young roster as a foundation for the future. They've certainly looked more "ready now" than I would have imagined. I'm sure they'll cool off, but even if they do, they look like a team to watch out for over the next 2-3 seasons considering their roster flexibility.
