ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 11/4/2013

Considering Harden tends to commit even more TO's per game (4.7 vs 3.7), you have to be a LOF to suggest that

I said nothing about Bev shutting down CP3, but his pestering defense would help tire out and annoy CP3 (who's an emotional player). Also, we played Bobcats, Mavs, and Jazz, and still struggled a bit so can't say those wins were convincing.

Clippers are on a different level and is our first really test to see how good we can be (defensively). CP3 is a year away from surgery, healthy, and in very good form. Throw in a highly-motivated, a more defensive-oriented coach, and yea, it'd be nice to have all our players (Bev + Cass) healthy and available.

 

Kobe was out?

Clippers dealt with Harden just fine last year and when he was on OKC. Actually, the one game the Rockets won against the Clippers last year, Harden didn't even play!

i like lin but not LOFs. i just let ppl know analysis of TOs need to consider many factors.

Try not to get jumped by those crazy L.A. fans. I know they're not Lakers fans but something in the water makes people in Los Angeles act like the crazy European soccer hooligans. We should start a real life Clutch Fans and make up chants to yell at the Rockets games. "Let's go Rockets" is kind of dull...Yeah, I tend to go off into tangents.

Feb 13 at LA: Rockets lost
Lin: 14 pts 7 asts
Paul: 10 pts 11 asts

Mar 30 at Houston: Rockets won
Lin: 15 pts 3 asts
Paul: 19 pts 7 asts

It's not that far off. Lin has improved a lot, especially in three point shooting and defense. And he's still improving!

Paul has been playing great but Lin has held his opponents to extremely low scoring except for not giving Burks respect for two shots he made.

Would be interesting!

 

Lin plays a very different style of defense to Bev, doesnt have the footspeed to hound the way he does, but hes pretty smart using help/staying with his man.

Main issue is the way he helps. Just stay on your freaking man. Not sure if thats Lin roaming or coaching philosophies, but hes frequently guilty of it.

 

So it's sort of Dwight's home-coming. It'd be nice if something like this happens:

There will be a lot heckling and booing I'd imagine.

 

I predict Lin outplays CP3. You guys can quote this and laugh at me when it doesn't happen. But I think he's gonna have a big game.
