For someone who just uses a laptop to browse the web and maybe occasionally use MS Office this is good considering the price. This Intel Celeron is a dual core so what more does a basic user need without having to pay extra for higher specs that they may not even utilize?
Have you tried? I actually have first hand experience. My parents got a laptop just like this - got a dual core Celeron (Acer). Then they needed a second laptop and got a dual core i3 (Samsung). The celeron works just as good if not better than the i3. Both have 4 GB of RAM. Both are on WIN8. They use it for browsing, youtube, skype, and other basic every day functions without any issues whatsoever. Again, I am just posting based on my experience which is positive with regards to celeron and basic usage. I would not get one for myself but for my parents, grandparents, kids I would at this price unless they need it for something like AutoCAD or Halo or CreativeStudio...
I have this laptop basically. The proccessing speed even with 4 gigs of RAM is pretty ****ty. I dont even **** with anything less than an i5.
