i just dont see blake griffin having a good performance going up against dwight for the periods we have the twin towers in. and dwight might even guard him when its him and casspi, just because we arent worried about deandre scoring a ton of points.

as long as we dont have close to 25 turnovers again, we will be just fine. that is the only way the clippers will put of points against our suddenly stout defense. turnovers turnovers turnovers.

Just wondering from all the great insight here... what are the Clippers GOOD at? Apparently they suck in the paint, suck on the perimeter and outside of CP3 can't do anything whatsoever. I need some scouting reports from you guys.

Apparently everybody on our team is easy to shut down.

The Clippers are a lot like the Rockets, good at scoring in transition .... take that away and they are not that difficult to defend. Controlling the pace is essential. We can run on offense, but we must get back on D.

If the Rockets play disciplined, we have the edge here. Our defense is basically amazing against any team that doesn't have a great shooting PF. As long as Griffin doesn't make an inordinate amount of open jumpers(which we'll give him), then I think we're fine.

You learned all of this in 3 games against mediocre competition? You should get a job as a scout man.

I don't know who will stop him but I know the Zebras will be quick to give him a pick me up if he's struggling. All he has to do is jump into stationary defenders and flail his arms and he's shooting 20 free throws that night.

What does getting free throws he shouldn't get have to do with flopping? It's the refs fault for not understanding how to make proper calls with guys like Harden and Wade. If a player is stationary and the offensive player jumps into you, it's a charge. The reason Harden gets the call is because he euro steps or flails his arms. So while it's not exactly flopping it's a similar form of ref manipulation.

If you can't admit he does that, you're not keeping it real.

I will. I've always been a reader here but only post usually when Clippers play Rockets or for particularly compelling topics.

selling a foul, whether offensively or defensively is sort of flopping... thats why they are related.

The Euro step is a perfectly legal move. You might as well complain about a player using a crossover dribble.

Fine.. then all stars do it and I think Harden is in a similar boat as CP3 when it comes to selling fouls. Drawing fouls is a great skill and Harden shouldn't be penalized for being the best. My gripe is that he gets at least a couple a game that leave you scratching your head. Not the normal star calls but I mean bogus fouls where he initiates the contact 100 percent (Wade, CP3 and Durant are high level offenders but not as bad).

Most frustrating move of all is when he euro steps into a planted defender, shoves the ball into their chest and then flails his arms after contact... and it's free throws EVERY SINGLE time. Yet if you know the rule book.. you'll see that any time a stationary player is hit by the driving player it's an offensive foul. Unfortunately refs still haven't learned how to call charges on euro steps because it's a deceiving movement.

The Euro Step is legal but it's also a charge every single time if a defender is stationary, yet refs call it a blocking foul 90 percent of the time due to how manipulative the angle can be.

What is this -- how you say -- "underdog"? And why are we considered such? Rockets win, 105-101. The game lasts a NBA-record 9 hours long, with both teams implementing the hack-a-whatever with Howard and Jordan (who combine for 7/56).
