Saying that CP3 is better than Lin (which is 100% factual) doesn't make you any less of a rocket fan.

well this is debatable. as average quality of SG and C are not so high, quality of max salary SG and C also been pulled down. just compare dwright and shaq. on the other hand with over all high quality of PG, paying max for the best PG you may net you a better quality player than other positions that impact the game more. it's an interesting topic and nothing is conclusive.

they are still a good team, however their flaw is unlike ROX got 2 perimeter playmaker they got only CP3, you cant shut him down but if you cut off his link to the rest of the team their offense dies. let him get godly stat we may have better chance to win.

 

For this game, the coaching staff must definitely start with Brooks. CP3 is just too great a player for Jeremy Lin to defend. Brooks on the other hand is quick and can keep up with CP3. If they start with Lin then CP3 will just make him his b*t*h.

 

The only way CP3 get by Jeremy is someone set a pick and screen for him. The Rockets better help on screen and picks.

If Beverley was healthy, it be Lin + Beverley vs Paul + Collison ...

Its gonna be a good game.

Did you know we have Redick who's putting up an efficient 16 ppg and playing great D and has been an above average playmaker for a couple seasons... or that we have Darren Collison who's a 6 apg career player? Obviously if you shut CP3 down the Clippers are severely gimped but we could easily say if you shut down ANY top 10 player their team will suffer greatly.

 

Hating who? It's a fact that CP3 is the best PG in the game right now and a Back-Up PG to Beverly won't be able to defend a great player like CP3.

Obviously, Beverly would defend better than Lin but he isn't playing right now. Why gamble with Jeremy Lin when Brooks can do the job better. He doesn't need to score, he just needs to stick to CP3 like GLUE.

Beverly will be back soon and everything will be back in its rightful place.

 

You think that AB plays better defense than Lin? ok.

 

While Lin is not CP3 level, he is not some scrub who will be easily crushed by CP3, like some "fans" have been posting. Respect the fact that Lin worked hard in the offseason to improve his game. Appreciate the fact that Lin has shut down opposing PGs in the last few games. Support a player in your team. That's what fans do.

 

CP3 is like Westbrook on offense, doesn't matter who guards them they can have their way. I only made the fun bet (16 and under) for that reason, I know it would be very difficult for Lin or anyone to shut him down.

If by "best" you meant flopping, we would argue he is #1 in NBA at that.

 

Lin can attack CP3 and try to get him into early foul trouble, or try to tire him out.

 

Starting Beverly is best for the team and we want him to start in this game as well. He is a great defender and has unlimited energy. As great as CP3 is, he'll have a difficult time against Beverly. Unfortunately Beverly is out and hopefully he can comeback in the next game.
