lin's expected contribution to the rockets is completely different than what case brings. as much as i want to see jeremy lin succeed, case is the only guy we have that can make or break this team.. the rockets have 3 (or 4) guys ahead that can do that
Yeah, you just made a big play to block the FG. You have the opportunity to go up 2 scores. You just got stuffed on an inside run on 3rd and 1 (and the play before was stuffed too until Tate got to the outside). Just take the points. That's a situation where Kube's conservative nature should've prevailed.
The decision to go for it was ok, but the play call was poor. C'mon, you wouldnt expect Kubes to get both parts right, would you?
I'm glad Kubes went for it on 4th, but geez, Tate blew it by sliding. He would've had the 1st on 2nd down.
Why don't teams rush for the sidelines more when going for it on 3rd/4th down instead of hitting up the middle? It just seems like going up the middle gets stopped more often.
Lol you guys should've just taken the points. You can't afford to lose potential points against this team
Yeah, but he makes bad decision after bad decision up 7 - take the points. Against the Seahawks, run the ball....I mean the man tries too hard to outthink people, and screws up consistently. DD
If Case is the Lin of the NFL, then we need to draft a QB. QB is more important than PG. You really need elite talent at the position. Lin is just a capable starter at most, not an elite all-star caliber player.
Please... my coach? I've been for the regime change for a while now (just ensuring that Rick Smith leaves with him). Also want to upgrade the defense from Wade. Just not at mid-season.
I'm ok with him going for it but I agree that the play call was sketchy at best. Also Tate looked like a huge p$ssy sliding right there but he is playing with 4 broken ribs so that's probably the wrong word.
i realize we had 3rd and 1, but 4 plays without qb throwing the ball and we get stopped doesn't look good.
Texans average 4.5 yards per rush...statistics say that, the majority of the time, the Texans can get 1 yard on a rush. It wasnt a bad decision and it wasnt a poor play call. It just happened to not work out. Plus, who says that the 3 points is a given?
