Case playing well can also be a negative. It shows that Kubes plays favorites. He has his guys, but his guys aren't always the best guys. He'll keep better players on the bench out of loyalty to the incumbents. Remember that it took a long time for Foster to get his shot even though our running game was crap.
I feel like Case Keenum is like Jeremy Lin. Wasn't highly recruited, didn't get drafted. We all knew he had abilities, but he was stuck as the third string QB for Houston. Now, because of extreme circumstances, he finally has a chance to shine, and boy is he shining! The only difference is Kubiak is giving Case his trust, whereas the Rockets still disrespect Lin.
That's what people usually say when plays "don't work". Lack of execution there. Don't fault him for going for it in the 1st quarter. A fg doesn't put the game out of reach, but a two TD lead would be huge.
Since that 4th down conversion failed, you know Kubiak isn't going to do it again for another half season. lol
ya'll cry for kubiak to be more aggressive. then the play fails and get upset. it's only bad playcalling because they didn't get the first down.
