This post is popped up again? Let's keep the record going, with the addition of Beverley to the list.<br /> After 3 games into the new season, Jeremy Lin is leading this PG group in PER. Beverley is expected to narrow the gap between him and others after he recovers from his injury.<br /> <table border="0"> <tr><td colspan="5" align="center" ><b>Point Guards' PER, Season 2013-14</b></td></tr> <tr bgcolor="#0069B9";font style="color:#ffffff;"><th><b>Player</b></th><th><b>as of Nov. 3</b></th> <th><b>as of Dec. 31</b></th> <th><b>as of Jan. 31</b></th> <th><b>as of Feb. 18</b></th> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#ffffff"><td align="right">Jeremy Lin</td><td align="center">18.71</td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"> </td> <td align="center"></td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#eeeeee"><td align="right">Goran Dragic</td><td align="center">17.32</td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#ffffff"><td align="right">Kyle Lowry</td><td align="center">15.70</td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#eeeeee"><td align="right">Patrick Beverley</td><td align="center">12.67</td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#0069B9";font style="color:#ffffff;"><td align="left">Gap</td><td align="center">6.04</td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> <td align="center"></td> </tr></table>
At this point who cares Lowry and dragic aren't coming back. Let's just hope Lin continues playing well.
This. Let's hope Lin ends up being the best out of the 3. Forget about Lowry and Dragic, Lin is the one on our team now.
Dragic rolled his ankle again in today's OKC game. Looks pretty bad, might be out for a few days. I seriously think the Suns could've taken this game if Dragic didn't have to leave the game early. OKC had to roll out a 3 PG lineup of Westbrook, Jackson, and Fisher to end and win a close game. That said, as much as I still like Dragic and think he would've been a better fit next to Harden, he choose to leave. Lin's been improving, is almost as good if not just as good, and a great team player, I'm happy we have him.
I really liked Lowry but he couldn't ever finish at the rim the way Lin can. Now I hope Lin is the best by far since he is a Rocket.
Why are you so sure? Everyone thinks Morey won't go back to go forward, but I'm not so convinced. He let Lowry go because of dragic and cap flexibility. He let dragic go and signed Lin for cap flexibility. At that time we were trying to find a cornerstone. We now have one, things have changed. Morey said himself he will now focus more on making a 'team' ; instead of a collection of assets. Dragic is the better player and better fit than Lin. Lowry is the even better fit and equal player to dragic. I'm not so sold on Morey not going backwards to go forward. Both players seeeem better, and i guarantee you both are available. Phoenix just signed bledsoe and are looking to tank, so assets building is key, and with hopes of their future pg spot in bledsoes hands dragic becomes a trade target. Once Toronto starts doing poorly they will look to blow that team up, especially under new smarter front office people, Lowry becomes a prime suspect to be traded. Look for these names to be traded at or before deadline, not necessarily to Houston but hopefully. Ps. I think Lin is under appreciated by most diehard rockets fans, and over appreciated by the other fans. He is decent with good potential and promise, but he is not the best fit. Although, being a sixth man could be his golden opportunity. He will be able to run his own offense.
Did you consider why PHX signed Bledsoe and moved Dragic to the 2? Maybe because he isn't as good of a PG as people like to think he is?
People still hung up on 11-12 season version of Lowry and Dragic... you say better fit, I say what evidence? they have never played in a championship caliber team, or played with a dwight or a harden type player... so how are we to gauge that they are a better fit?
dragic was better than the other two, and would prefer him over Lin but that was my opinion although they are all just 2-3rd tier PG's and there's no point arguing which one is better because the gap is so small that its negligible
I'm really not sure Dragic or Lowry are better than Lin. He's been beasting since...well since last years all-star break. Also his outside shot seems drastically improved. I would need to see at least another month to say which I think is the best of the three, but so far so good this year.
They signed him for potential. They are looking for a star. Hoped dragic could become that, but he is only an above average PG. bledsoe is hopefully got the potential to overcome the starting job and possibly a star. I'll give you that. Lin has been good and i hope he becomes better. I like Lin but i think we need a defensive the point shooting pg.
