LOL what if he tells Howard, we will bring you off the bench and Asik will be the starter? bwhahahahahaha j/k care on
I'm the same poster that called you out. You have a high propensity for agreeing with the anti-Lin rhetoric, the kind of poster that likes to throw little pebbles into the water and watch the ripples spread. But show me where I labelled you a "hater". But if that's what you think you are, then we agree on something.
That's the point. It would never happen to a max player vs. a 8M/year player but it did happen to a 8M player vs. minimum wage player. While Asik has publicly stated his displeasure, Lin has made no qualms thus far.
If you read between the lines, it's McHale's way of saying, "Jeremy Lin's improved play has thrown a monkey wrench in our plans of Beverley being the clear starter."
Sure, there are some that are reasonable. But there is the contingent who employ the group swoop-down anytime (1) something remotely negative is said about Jeremy, or (2) something remotely positive is said about Beverley. I just can't make sense of the hypocrisy. As LikeMike posted, the same people who sit and pick apart Harden/Dwight/Chandler all game and into post-game turn around and have a full on conniption if someone says something as innocuous as "Jeremy could stand to work on his turnovers." Everyone on the roster is a fair target for criticism, except him. I've never even said anything critical about Jeremy OR his game, EVER. Hell, I picked him for my fantasy team because I predicted him to have a breakout season, so I'm personally invested in his success. Nonetheless, I've been called a LOH repeatedly because I point out the above-referenced hypocrisy when I see it. The fact that someone can come onto a Rockets fan forum, admit that he is only a fan of a single player, and say "****" another player perceived to be the competition -- that is absolutely mind-boggling to me. And I just don't believe there wouldn't have been an extreme reaction by some if the same had been said about Jeremy. I just don't.
Here's what you said: I'm still waiting for you to show me that all I do is criticize Jeremy. Or where I've criticized him once. Ever. Or said anything negative about his game. Ever. It has NEVER happened. You don't get to get high and mighty about people throwing around labels indiscriminately and then do the same thing yourself.
I personally think he played well most of last season as well, though I think he gets a raw deal b/c people have a tendency to place more emphasis on the way you start/end a season and don't really factor in that he wasn't at 100%. Then again, I'm not one who believes McHale had him coming off the bench because he wasn't playing well or because Bev is the superior PG, so I guess that's why I don't interpret the quote the way you do.
I'm sorry, but I cannot understand how a Rocket fan could interpret "I have two starting PGs" as "Jeremy Lin's improved play has thrown a monkey wrench in our plans of Beverley being the clear starter." He is saying he has two very good PGs, why is he not allowed to praise Beverley? Are you saying Lin's confidence is so fragile that his backup cannot even receive recognition from the coach?
Show me where I call you a hater - you can't do that either can you. Where in the quote that you chose to bring up did I label you anything but overly critical of one player? Better yet, let the other posters judge where KlutchQT stands. Perception is a b**** no matter how careful one wants to appear.
So you're not going to be able to show me where "all I ever do is criticize Jeremy," is what you're saying. Cool. I already know how I'm likely perceived by LOFs, which is okay by me. I've never said anything but positive things about Jeremy. Ever. But because I also say positive things about Beverley and call hypocrisy when I see it, I'm 100% sure I'm perceived as anti-Jeremy by that faction. Anyone who doesn't believe him to be without fault or points out the double-standard is perceived as anti-Jeremy. I'm in good company.
Yes, the team did good in the second half ... and it was all due to Bev (that's for you KlutchQT). Here, I'll even throw in a smiley face  just for you.
If he is as emotionally fragile as you say then he doesn't belong in the nba, simple as that. This is an extremely competitive profession requiring peak mental and physical attributes.
