We'll really miss Bev in a game like this. Fortunately the twin towers are ideal for dealing with Blake and Deandre.

3rd game in 4 nights, without Casspi or Beverley, and banged up Harden, Parsons and Lin.

No idea how this game will turn out. It could easily go either way.

I hope we blow them out. We deserve a good year.

Even with Bev, it was going to be a tough game. When CP3 is on, there is nothing you can do. CP3 can get open at will and get off his mid-range and short jumpers.

If Lin can hold CP3 to 20 points and score 15 points on him, I think he accomplished his mission. The chances is that CP3 is going to out-play Lin, but as long as Lin prevents CP3 from going off crazy (35 points plus), hard to blame any opposing guard.

    sure.

CP 3 loves to penetrate and get to the lane. great at dishing for either easy slams or corner 3s

key is that harden must not let their scrub SG out play him. harden may score 20+ but if he lets Crawford go off for 25+ then we are in trouble

jorden is having a great start and can guard dwight well

it will be up to guys like Garcia, Parsons and our bomb squad to really make this work

Lin will need to show CP3 a thing or two as well

I'll be shocked if we win. Our starters must be exhausted from playing so many minutes

mchale's gotta keep harden's minute down a little.. 43min in the game vs utah.. that's way too many minutes. harden ain't gonna be able to hold up his body playing 43 min a game. mchale should trust lin/howard while giving harden more rest. Look at what pop does to his starters.. he doesn't ever let them play 40+ no matters what happens. And harden is already not in good shape with all that back problem.

lin can set up offense.. that's one thing he's good at and he and howard need to get comfortable with playing pick/roll with each other anyways, that's one weapon that rockets needs.

Clippers had 3 days off, Rockets are playing 3rd game in 4 nights. I'm not expecting anything, but if we pull off this win it will be truly epic.

lol, so many posters have already missed bev. are your guys kidding yourself? we are talking about cp3, not a ordinary pg. does anyone really realize we are talking about CP3. are you expecting bev to stop cp3? to me, it's a day dream. the best to beat clippers to limit their other players. cp3 will get his stats no matter whom you put on him.

i am very confidence to say tons of posters here will rationalize benching lin if CP3 has a good game.

This is a real issue. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember suffering through some ugly games on the second half of back to backs (not that this is one) last year.

I was hoping that our minutes would be more distributed this year, but not blowing out some of these weaker teams has not made that possible.

How do you guys think this is going to play out this year? Will better minutes distribution and fresher bodies happen for us?

how so? we beat them last season. infact, in the early meetings with the clippers their sgs and sf beat us from three, but 2 of those guys have moved on.
And bledsoe was a harder cover for lin than cp3. If memory serves correct, Vinny was matching everything lin was doing. When lin went to the bench paul went to the bench. when he came back in, paul would come back in.

unfortunate that vinny isn't the head coach but we should still win.

I don't think CP3 is a PG who can be "stopped." He imposes his will, to a great degree. But I don't see what's wrong with saying you'll miss a component of your defense that might be able to at least slow him some. That's not a knock on anyone else.

What are the chances of TT stopping/slowing CP3? Or will they get into foul trouble early? Or will CP3 just take it from the mid-range?
