The high school class of 2011 will be juniors this season. How have the unsigned high schoolers and junior college players from the 2011 draft fared?

    2012 stats listed.

    14. Gandy Stubblefield, RHP, Texas A&M: 2 relief appearances, IP, H, 4 ER, BB, K, 2.00 WHIP, .333 opponent average; I suppose he was injured.

    25. Billy Flamion, OF, Oregon: He left Oregon after his freshman season, finishing 1-11 with an RBI in 10 games. Flamion transferred to Grossmont College, a community college in El Cajon, Callifornia. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 15th round last June and is now a LHP, despite only throwing 7 innings.

    As a hitter: 36 games, .287/.382/.426, 2 HR, 24 RBI, 26 R, 17 BB, 16 K, 4 SB (4 CS)
    As a pitcher: 7 relief appearances, no record, 7.71 ERA, 7 IP, 4 H, 6 ER, 6 BB, 9 K, 1.43 WHIP

    26. Jared Fisher, RHP, Washington: 11 appearances (10 starts), 2-2, 3.20 ERA, 59 IP, 56 H (1 homer), 24 R (21 earned), 19 BB, 25 K, 1.27 WHIP, .255 opponent average

    33. Dominique Taylor, OF, Salt Lake CC, UC-Irvine: Drafted by Royals in 15th round of 2013 Draft. 55 games, .309/.366/.443, 3 HR, 34 RBI, 42 R, 13 BB (9 HBP), 33 K, 10 SB (4 CS)

    35. Chris Morales, RHP, Houston: 9 relief appearances, no record, 4.00 ERA, 9 IP, 11 H, 10 R (4 earned), 9 BB, 8 K, 2.22 WHIP, .289 opponent average; no longer listed on the UH roster.

    39. David Haerle, RHP, College of the Canyons (CA), Cal State Dominguez Hills: 14 appearances (7 starts, 1 complete game), 2-6, 5.24 ERA, 46.1 IP, 48 H (3 homers), 35 R (27 ER), 28 BB, 31 K, 1.65 WHIP, .273 opponent average

    40. Buddy Lamothe, RHP, San Jacinto College: Career over.

    42. Hoke Granger, OF, University of Mobile (Alabama): Redshirted after transferring from Gulf Coast CC (Alabama).

43: David Grimes, OF, Upton Lakes Christian School (NY): ??????

    48. A.J. Murray, 1B, Georgia Tech: 64 games, .271/.366/.394, 5 HR, 35 RBI, 41 R, 30 BB (6 HBP), 56 K, 4 SB, .760 OPS

    Thanks for posting.

I can't wait to hear Selig announce "The Houston Astros select: Carlos Rodon".

Hopefully NCST won't let him throw 130+ pitches. Rodon needs to make some business decisions this season.

    Hoffman's secondary stuff looks average.

Judging that fastball it looked low 90's with good action.

    ^^

That was Trea Turner who he struck out in the first AB. He will be a high first round pick.

Rodon looks like he's in better shape than last year. Looks more muscular and less fat based on that video

Baseball America: Seminole State Features Exciting Righthanders

One of the pitchers profiled is Jake Cosart. I hear his brother's got the potential to be a pretty good pitcher for the Astros.

ICYMI, Evan Drellich is the new Astros beat writer. He comes over from the Red Sox beat.

Nicholas Pomo-Roman was #5. He's a shortstop from Baruch College, a Division III school located in Manhattan, part of the CUNY (City University of New York) system. This was his line from 2013:

    37 games, .423/.493/.506, 8 2B, 3B, 22 RBI, 15 BB (10 HBP), 5 K, 25 SB (8 CS)
