One thing that stood to me, which was a point beaten to death by Matt Harpring, is that Howard does not box out. Asik was the one that got us back on the boards in the 2nd half, he was doing it all. I was very dissappointed by Howard's lack of effort throughout the whole game. He also looked to get bailed out a lot, just like Harden at times, which they need to get rid of. Just go hard and try to score everytime down, then we'll be fine. Amazing work by Parsons, Garcia, Lin throughout the whole game. Harden & Howard came through in the 2nd half so that's okay, but we need to show we've learned from this. Also Mike Harris can still play, he guarded Chandler pretty well and blocked Howard once. Terrence Jones ahead of D-Mo, or just match-up wise and the fact that TJ is a better defender - though he didn't show it at all?
This mean, for the team, an aggressive more turnover-prone LIN >>>> a passive less turnover-prone LIN. Now, if we can get to an aggressive less turnover-prone LIN, he got a special player.
I'm optimistic: Still young, only second year. He's smart. PG is the hardest position to learn in this league. He didn't play PG in college. He admits his mistake and tries to learn from them.
I haven't seen anything or any where as lin being quoted as saying he is not happy with his role. He is to classy to air any dis-satisfaction he might have in a public domain and become a distraction for the team.
That's been my observation as well. It starts with the labelling of fans and escalates from there. The obvious trolls are pretty clear but there are a number of other seemingly intelligent posters who stoop to this level.
I guess Coach saw in the Dallas game, it was basically 4 on 5 on offense with Brewer. Plus Utah didn't really have an uberathletic wing player to worry about.
The Jazz game was an example of superior talent stomping a team that had upset on their minds. We will see many such games this season. Get used to them. Every one of them that Houston wins will make them stronger.
That was the preseason. Parker hardly put in a effort. He played for the Freanch team and Pop said he was going to rest him. He played very few minutes.
2012-2013 NBA Turnover Leaders-Point Guards 1) Jrue Holiday - 292 2) Russell Westbrook - 273 3) Greivis Vasquez - 247 4) Damian Lillard - 243 5) Stephen Curry - 240 6) Jeremy Lin - 236 7) Jeff Teague - 230 8) Deron Williams - 218 9) Goran Dragic - 212 10) Brandon Knight - 205 The difference here is that the other 9 PGs are the primary ballhandlers for their teams. For Lin to be among them when he shares ballhandling duties with Harden should tell you his TO rate is quite high. He needs to work on that a bit more.
There is a reason dwight still demands max money and lin doesn't. No disrespect to lin, but he is not on Howard or Harden's level. Those two could both run a team of scrubs better than Jlin.
No way. Harden maybe. Not Howard. Lin ran with a lot of scrubs in NY already showing he can elevate their game. In the particular area of elevating a game, how much money they can demand is not the key factor. Looking at Howard I don't think he's on the level of Harden. I think Harden is elite, Howard a superstar, and Lin and Parsons are both close to stars and at times play like stars.
Like it or not, Jeremy Lin is our starting PG for the next 2 weeks (even though I totally see why one would be pissed off by some of these idiotic comments). Guess what? We are 3-0 going for 4-0, let's just enjoy this lineup while it lasts!!
