Are you freaking kidding me? You don't care for Bev? I soo freaking miss his energy, rebounding skills, and hustle in the first half!! He and Cassoi were sorely missed today. Trust me, we want to see those two back sooner than later!
Was thinking about the Clippers game and thought of something: 2012-2013 FT% with minimum of 200 attempts. There might be a lot of missed free throws on Monday
^^ I was thinking this too. If they want to hack Dwight, we could always be petty and hack DeAndre. At least Dwight's usually make it to the rim...
I'm sorry if it doesn't jibe with what you obviously believe, but again there is no evidence to the contrary. In the absence of said evidence I am forced to believe what I see and what they say. They both acknowledge their competitive nature but are avowed team first guys. They understand that each of them brings different but equally valuable traits to this team. They also know that regardless who starts they will likely see equal time on the floor. Finally, I think they both realize this team has the potential to be really, really good and a championship would be a career defining moment for each of them considering their unique stories. I don't think either of them is short sighted or selfish enough to chance disrupting that. Again, sorry if this doesn't fit what you think must be secretly going on.
Sad/hilarious that he is STILL shooting like this a large percentage of the time. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VN8GVYhsXC8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
That would result in the ugliest game in the history of the NBA. McHale and Rivers would be getting calls from Stern that night!
should be on the 29th. hosts talk about Beverley start is a surprise and ask morey how big part he had involved in this dicision or did he just let mchale handle it and that's what he wanted. morey's answer was like yeah it's Mchale. but bla bla bla(reasoning). Stan Van Gandy was there as guest too mocking morey "there is a theory I run it through you, if you want a center you must take jeremy lin." morey's reaction was classic and everyone laughed at him and he danced around did not answer it. Stan grilled morey more like when morey said "Jeremy Lin has improved a lot" and Stan "so now he improves to the bench". everyone laughed left Morey embarrassed. too bad you missed it, it was fun.
^^^ Oh, OK. I was wondering if anything had been said since Game 1... I don't think so, though. At any rate, I just think it would be cool if we could chill and enjoy the wins until there's a reason to revive a dead issue.
Lin said about a week ago that he didn't like that he wasn't treated like a starter last year being yanked around. Are those the words of an avowed team first guy? That is my point. Sure they won't be cancers and try to destroy team chemistry and make demands I totally agree with you on that. They aren't like that at all. But just because they won't say anything publicly doesn't mean privately they have a grudge which we know for a fact is true. Sorry if you want to ignore the public comments made by a player less than a week ago.
Morey plain out said that starting Bev was "obvious" to them in that interview if I recall correctly. I don't think that was Van Gundy who made the joke about packaging Jeremy Lin into trades for Asik. That was the radio host.
Rockets forward Omri Casspi went through warm-ups hoping to play Saturday night, but after several minutes he had to return to the locker room unable to continue and was declared out. Casspi turned his left ankle in Friday’s 113-105 victory over Dallas. “I don’t know what happened,” he said. “I stepped wrong. In the heat of the game, it was OK, but after two, three minutes, it swelled up. It’s sore and stiff. I haven’t tweaked my ankle in so long, thank God. But from my experience, it just takes a day or two. I tried to go out there today and warm up. It just didn’t work.” http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2013/11/casspi-sidelined-with-ankle-injury-for-meeting-with-jazz/
As far as who starts, whether it be Asik/Casspi or Bev/Lin, like McHale said, it's going to be experimental until December. I liked the Bev/Asik lineup in the last few games of the preseason but so far I'm really liking it when Asik steps off and Lin and Casspi are playing with Harden, Howard, and Parsons. Dwight and Asik handle interior defense really well on their own so I don't know if twin towers is even necessary, and playing them both together seems to make our own offense struggle.
Since I know people are still checking this thread, can I be super remedial and ask what time it is right now in Houston??? 12:24 or 1:24? Also, let's all pretend I didn't have to ask.
