I know, it's like "Sir, you have insulted my honor. Admit that I am rightfully the starting point guard, or I will blow out the ClutchFans server." LOFers please STFU! Don't you think we ALL--every single one of us--knows that McHale has slapped the face of Asia and committed racial and basketball injustice? You should be sending your posts to Morey and McHale, not trashing up this board: it's no use here.
Great comeback win. Was really disappointed in the effort the first half, we flat out weren't trying. McHale gave a good halftime speech apparently. In addition, we were just too talented. These are the types of wins you need to get good playoff positioning. We need to take care of business against lesser teams as it will matter down the road. We got screwed over last year by giving away games to subpar teams and it costs of playoff positioning (two games away from 6th seed). Harden is a true superstar, he's just picking his spots and making big shots. Lin had a great game today. Howard played well but 8 shots isn't enough for him, we need to find him the ball more. Parsons had a great game. And Garcia is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.
I don't watch football. As a Rockets fan, I don't see the big deal with what McHale said. He is basically saying that he has two very good PGs in his hands, and both are worthy of being starters on anytime. I mean, if McHale said "I have two starting centers", is that somehow supposed to be interpreted as a slight to Dwight Howard? People are just upset over nothing.
Really? A qb plays the whole game. Basketball has this thing called substitutions where both pgs can play
Don't let the facts get in the way of your hate. It's not magical powers, it's called a confounding variable. Look it up.
It is naive to think that players don't care. They are humans to. They have their pride and their ego and there is nothing wrong with that. And as much as fans love to think that players are 100% team first that is just wrong. Look no further than Harden who in OKC as 6th man always said I know my role and I am a team first guy, these are my brothers Ubuntu etc. How long did that last we all know that Harden wasn't truly happy being a 6th man in OKC despite what he said otherwise and what the media said otherwise. This is peoples livelihood they are talking about. Money, future contracts, branding, of court deals, PRIDE all can be affected. These players care.
I hope we will do a good job no the board. The first half today is really bad. The jazz got offensive rebounds whenever they wanted.
i think the truth behind is they are going to unload lin's contract in the future to avoid luxury tax, so they wanted to build up the chemistry with Beverley early. really dont like them go back to penny pincher mode like they did in yao/tmac era, because you dont pay tax you can never get ref's favor in playoffs, it's an unsound rule of this league. rox already the 3rd profitable team in the league and still want to take every penny they can and hope the league will hand them the title. i say only in your dreams. Lex, keep the line up, it's no broken, it works GREAT, pay tax for the title, or get mocked by other businessmen about having 2 super stars twice but win nothing.
How do you know they are lying? If harden gets offered his max contact, he's probably in okc right now as their 6th man.
Man.... Parsons had a great game. If it wasn't for him, we would be down 30 entering the second half and all we can talk about is Jlin. He had a great game also but there are other players who needs some loving too when they do well.
I'm sure Lin knows that he (and probably Asik) are going to be shipped off. But he's also said he's not worried about it.
I will quit feeding who are still trying to start a LOF war after this response. Did you honest see a post today that makes absurd argument for Lin startin g like the conspiracy theory?
Thank you for that fine suggestion. Let's use that "button called ignore" on each other starting now.
Asik couldn't space the floor for Dwight, Harden, Lin, and Parsons to get to the hoop. On offense it looked like a bunch of frat boys trying to cram into a VW Beetle. We didn't lose much with T. Jones, or even Parsons at the PF.
I do not hate any Rockets player. What I do hate is that when Harden has a high turnover game you are damn certain to hear about iso, ball hog, stickiness, doesn't trust his teammates and all the other go to lines. When Lin has a high turnover game and someone simply says he has to cut down on them, well you know, you hear Lins teams win more when he turns it over. It means he's playing hard and taking chances, it's better for his game. Is Harden not trying hard and taking chances that are good for the team? I just don't understand why it doesn't go both ways. But that's all I'm gonna say about the subject tonight. Great game by Lin and CP tonight. The others played well in certain spots. Screw the Jazz and bring on the clips. Go Rockets
maybe it's because lin always seems to get the short end of the stick? he didnt even get the chance to lose the starter job. its not as if he played terrible and proved he cant play with them. bev just got the spot without any actual games to show that it actually works better. seems like a bad deal for lin eh?
