For most of the first half, with the exception of Parsons, the Rox just looked flat. They looked a step too slow on many plays. Also, it doesn’t help when the team’s M.O. that they’re trying to work on is posting up Howard, which has not worked and is adding to slowing down their tempo. It seems like it’s giving Utah time to set up their defense. Back to back in Utah is always hard. Utah was playing decent defense too.
I know it looks bad, but I will side with Morey when he has said on multiple occasions that the best statistical approach is the 2 for 1 even if the shot isn't the most ideal one.
So two of the top five players in the game can't struggle like this the entire game right? Eventually someone will step up correct!?
I think their announcers think Parsons is a complete scrub. They're surprised he has the ability to have 20 pts at the half.
My goodness could the Rockets really use Patrick Beverley tonight. They look sapped of energy and disinterested.
early in the season, no worries. McHale will knock some sense into them. maybe play the 3rd quarter and then if no change, just put in the deep bench to give them reps
Yep, I can too. Harden will definitely get his points- Brooks too, I think. Much better defense for the Rox in the 3rd. They've dug themselves a big hole, but they might be able to squeak out a 2-point or 4-point victory.
