There are many crazy fans of Lin go the same way like Kobe fanboys.
Those Kobe fanboys trash any player including Lakers except their GOD.
But there also many normal fans aren't that crazy.

 

God, so many times this. I can't even keep count of how many times I've been accused of hating Jeremy in threads just because I comment on the LOF circle-jerk and hypocrisy (anybody but Jeremy can be criticized!) that is so rampant lately. I have never said anything remotely negative about Jeremy -- ever -- but if you don't believe he is without flaw, you are automatically branded a LOH or an ABJ.

 

Actually Kobekids wished those things on Shaq during their feud but those were a tiny minority just like the few Lin fans wish these things on McHale.

But most likely it's a few trolls who do not even like Lin writing these things to get a reaction. I wouldn't be surprised if Lin Haters troll some boards and write these dumb comments to try to ruin Lin's stellar character reputation.

As I wrote before, many of Lin's fans are devote American Christians. Many are not even Asian as we have seen 99ers on here who have been labeled "LOF" for example just for supporting Lin.

Lin's reputation is not tarnished because no one associates him with these maniacs.Lin is a good guy.

This is 100% true. However -- here's the difference.

I love Joakim Noah. I think he is supremely talented, I love his style of play, I love his attitude and his energy, and I think he has immense heart. If I were the type of chick to rep anyone other than the Rockets, I would probably scoop some Noah gear.

But -- AND HERE IS THE BIG DIFFERENCE -- I wouldn't go register for a Bulls' fan forum and proceed to bash every other player on their team in an attempt to elevate him or prove my devotion. I'm a fan of Joakim Noah, NOT the Bulls. I respect that CHI has legitimate fans, and it would never even occur to me to go register on one of their boards to pontificate ad nauseum about what a great player he is... and ESPECIALLY not by tearing down everybody else on the team.

Being a fan of one player is not uncommon. Seeking out a place where fans of that player's TEAM congregate and proceeding to trash everybody who plays around the guy you like in a transparent attempt to elevate him -- THAT is not common. That's the difference, and the problem people have.

I actually respect that the people quoted in the first post stay contained in a Jeremy Lin forum and don't pollute an actual Rockets fansite with their BS. I can't say the same for a small segment of people who post here.

 

No, but I'm tired of Lin fans constantly calling Lin the best player on the team, Harden a ballhog, etc.

At least Kobe was at one point the best player in the NBA. I still hate Kobe fans, but they piss me off less than delusional Lin fans.

 

You wouldn't know that from reading Clutchfans, where Kobe sucks, Iverson sucks, Lin should be at the end of the bench/Lin should be our star player, Patrick Patterson is the answer, and Patrick Beverley can do no wrong.

I'm with you man, sorry for directing my comments at you. Here's what I'd like to ask. For the people who knows/understands the game of basketball,facts/history, etc..... Does it bother you when someone on the internet don't get it and make false accusation? From what I can tell things that are said on the internet is completely a 180 turn when conducting sports talk in reality. Try to strike a conversation with a stranger about sports in general, does it get this passionate like it does on sports forums? The only time I get a heated discussion about sports is when I'm with my family or relatives or whatever but outside of that, it's pretty darn casual when it comes to sports talk?
