Didn't see any of it tonight but they looked dead in the water against Utah. Was KD putting out or was he sluggish? I think Coach Bonehead's act is getting stale and KD may want him gone.
The bad offense I could live with. I do not know why they didn't devise at least a passable offense without WB this offseason, but with him, sure, they're still one of the best offenses. So, slight pass on that. But the defensive effort is just laughable. They were even getting burned repeatedly by the Jazz, who just are bad enough to not make their shots.
I don't. In retrospect it was an obviously bad, bad, terrible trade (well, unless the dallas pick magically ends up #1 in 2018) But, mistakes happen. But, no team with KD should get blown out by 30 before the scrubs are put in. Presti can't make Brooks have players move without the ball and just stand around and watch the ball. But... I guess in the end, I still blame Presti for giving Brooks that extension.
jeremy lamb looked really good tonight. i think everyone who said we totally won the harden trade is a little more hesitant now.
Wait, please tell me you're being sarcastic. If you're not, then I don't know what to tell you. Jeremy Lamb went 5 for 10 when they were already down 30 and the game was over. Not a single person on planet Earth is considering that trade a success for OKC.....ESPECIALLY not after one semi-passable showing from Lamb in completely useless minutes.
We basically traded Lamb, Adams, a 2nd round pick and an expiring contract for Harden and Dwight and you think they won the deal?
Let me know when Jeremy Lamb becomes the best shooting guard in the game and lures the best big man in the league to come play with him bc he is. James Harden already did that, so until Lamb does it.....we won the trade by no a mile but 50 miles. Jeremy Lamb will more than likely peak at a very good scorer who plays for 3-4 teams. I see his ceiling as OJ Mayo/JR smith type of instant offense. James Harden could be a hall of famer one day
Jeremy has proven nothing. Kmart is gone. We have 2 All stars now, thanks to Jeremy and Kmart. Let it go. On another note. I do not see OKC as a serious threat like everyone else does. They are an average team with out Russell and just above with him.
4M per year vs. 38M per year. Could've signed Howard and CP3 instead and traded Lin, Asik and other assets(Toronto pick, Dallas pick, Bobcats pick etc.) for Kevin Love or LMA. CP3-Martin/Lamb-Parsons-Love-Howard > Lin-Harden-Parsons-Asik-Howard
LOL, let's not get ridiculous. I guess you missed last season when OKC finished the #1 seed in the West with WB. That is above average, right? It's the player's decision where he signs and other teams must agree to trades. Rockets wouldn't have sniffed Howard without having Harden here first having a breakout season. Your pipedream of CP3-Martin/Lamb-Parsons-Love-Howard is just that, a pipedream.
Why does Lamb has to be compared to Harden? It's not like we traded Lamb for Harden straight up. Let's just watch the kid develop and judge him as he is. Nothing to do with Harden.
Noone is hesitant for a second. Harden is the most devastating player on iso or in a pnr the league has seen in a while. Strong, agile, deadeye.. His shots are exactly the type I beseech my players to never ever do, yet he makes them and you know what, I think he can do it every time. Reminds me of a young Kobe... but better. Ain't no Jeremy Lamb going to make people rethink who won that trade. After Lebron, I think he's the second best player in the league even over Durant. No question.
