benchwarmers blew the lead within the last 4 minutes, not the starters if that's any consolidation.

Had a double digit lead the entire game and the starters were out 5 minutes early, hard to complain.

Love the out rebounding opponents and the paint protection, but something has to be done about the turnovers.

But that's the second game in a row with more turnovers than assists. Absolutely unacceptable.

He scored 9 pts on 8 shots, that's not bad. He will fill whatever role the team needs on that givin night, no worries. He started slow last year too if I'm not mistaken. Parsons is fine and I expect him to have an improved year. Way too early to worry bro

Dallas doesn't look like a playoff contender right now, but that could change. They were on their heels a lot in the first half and only got close when we sat the starters.

But yeah, it's a different feeling going into this season, because our expectations are so much higher.

Yeah, he just had a cold shooting night from 3 is all. Missed all five shots from beyond the arc.

If he makes even 1 of those threes it would be a solid night from him, if he makes 2 it's a good night.

Stuff happens... sometimes guys have bad shooting nights... don't worry about it, just the 2nd game.

Definitely did. Just went to the bench at first, but ultimately went back to the locker room w/ the trainer and never came back. :(

Also, Greg Smith just KNEW he was gonna get to come in sooner than garbage time. As soon as Omer and Dwight started racking up fouls, he kept leaning forward and looking down at McHale, like he was about to get called in. Have a seat. LOL.

When he is in that aggressive mindset, hes a completely different player. Yes he turned it over alot, but he was always forcing the issue, attacking, putting pressure on the defence.

    Observations from tonight's Mavs game:

Asik had 12 rebounds in 15 minutes. He has been an absolute beast on the boards these past two games.

Casspi can't defend taller PF's, they just shoot right over him; also they bully him in the post

Best lineup was Twin Towers; McHale had to take Asik out however because of foul trouble

Harden is an MVP candidate and essentially won this game for the Rockets

Lin can get by any defender; in the first half he was aggressive; in the second half he was likewise able to penetrate, but then tried to pass off even when he had good looks at the basket, and which led to turnovers; Harden did this a few times too

Lin had held Kemba Walker to a scoreless second half in last game, then held Calderon scoreless in this game. Patrick who???

Brooks is a solid backup, however it will be really good to have Beverley back; Bev brings an energy to the offense which right now is lacking

Asik has developed a slight hitch to his free throw shooting; he's making more, and even his misses look good. Nice!

Parsons is in one of his slumps. Also I didn't like the way he guarded Dirk tonight.

Wonder what the status is on Casspi's ankle...

Both DMo and Jones are out of the rotation. Why??

Parsons and Howard were only a +4 and +6 respectively

You'll love the first eighteen minutes. The last few minutes of the third quarter and the first half or so of the fourth were pretty nice also. Last few minutes of the game might turn you into a Crawdor fan (sp?).

Parsons and lin were terrible especially at the start of the 3rd quarter.Lin wont keep his starting job if he plays out of control like he did tonight and Parsons need to find his shot.Harden again bailed us out like he did on Wednesday. It was Harden and Casspi really putting us out of reach once the Mavs made there run.

There are not enough superlatives to describes how well Harden played when the game was on the line.I thought despite the foul trouble Omer was fantastic. I don't mind the missed dunk because that's how he should try to finish more regulary. Dunk the damn ball instead of those sissy layups.

The announcer said Beverley beat Jeremy for the starter spot and that he will need to play extra hard to get his starting spot back. From Linsanity to mediocre to being a backup pg. wow.

Dominant first quarter set tone for the game, and it didn't ever feel like the Mavs believed they could win after that.

I love having both Asik and Howard on the team.
Why is Asik suddenly looking so much happier these days?
    James Harden = superstar
