Everyone plays okay except Parsons, who is below average.
Seems like his shot and FTs are noticeably worse while defense stays the same. Too much partying?

 

Garcia tried to pass to him on that last TO. Chandler passed to him that resulted in a tap-out and Howard telling him to pass to where his right hand is

 

Back in the 80's/90's it would've been just a good hard foul.

Totally disagree with the call. Garcia went for the ball, Ellis pulled it down for an up and under and his head went into Garcia's under arm. A foul? Yes. A flagrant? Hell no.

 

conditioning issues early in the season ... McHale should expand his rotation a bit if we're going to run all night long

 

Oh and putting Brewer in was a terrible idea. I would rather have dmo or jones in. Preferably dmo.

 

Lin and Harden played well but they need to take better care of the ball. Lin especially.

Parsons is playing like a scrub again.

Dwight has been excellent throughout but didn't the ball even once in the 2nd q.

 

really hope mchale doesn't play twin tower lineup 2nd half esp with mav going zone.

We do need to expand our lineup and give chance to both TJones and Dmo. Starters gotta get more rest. Long season..

Howard not getting the ball in the second quarter is a result to the mav's switching to the zone and us not having the adjustments yet. Man to Man they can not guard every weapon we have.

However in the zone you can sort of eliminate for the most part big man scoring. It's a lot harder for a big man to post up and get the ball into the post traditionally against a 2-3 extended zone(which is what they are running) or a 2-3 zone, however you beat the zone by penetrating off the dribble and kicking to open shooters. Garcia/parsons/harden ideally should feast off of the zone.

We will see how McHale adjusts to the zone in the second half.

The great news is that we are already seeing zone d in only the second game, so it wont be a shock to us down the road when we see it in crunch time of big games.

 

I agree with this. Mavs were refusing to guard him.

Brewers a better defender than both jones and dmo on dirk. Period, that and Casspi is in foul trouble.
