Yea I'm assuming that too. My league's not deep so I'll pick him back up in 10 days. Meantime I waived him for Farmar

That sucks man, hope you recoup

IMO, losing a best a starting pg or at worst 1st guy off the bench is more than a minor setback for any team

If it's rib or abdominal injury it's going to be hard for Bev to run or breathe when playing. 2 weeks may be conservative.

I've cracked a few of ribs before playing sport. Always heard complaints from the guys about how they had trouble sleeping for months because of it.

With an abdominal strain that's a core area he's going to be useless out there unless he's 100%.

I hope Bev gets better. I like Bev's play. High energy, suffocating ball pressure defense, steals, rebounds and lower turnover. Yes, if the team plays bad as a whole, cannot blame one guy. That is why it was so unfair for LOH to attack Lin's playoff record based on the 1st game when the whole team sucked (and he played well in the 2nd game before injury). It is also so unfair to attack Lin's failure to come back when he had a deep chest muscle bruise that he couldn't even raise his arm. Now the LOH will have to take the heat to see LOF bash Bev for his unfortunate injury. Both sides need to learn from this to be civil and fair in their assessment of the players. They are human and can be injured and one game doesn't define a player's capability. Get well soon, Bev. The team needs you.

Bev is a good defender. But there is no need to quote such stat as if this is due to Bev. First off, the team with Bev in was facing the 2nd unit of the opponents. Of course, scoring drops off. That will be the same for the rockets when Harden & the starters got replaced by our 2nd unit which actually struggled to score a lot of times until Harden or Lin came back in.

i have a friend who fell off a scooter on vacation in italy and had a similar injury……i would say that 10-14 days is BS……seems like we might be missing pat for a couple months

Not that much of a history.

Remember Adelman put Brooks back after his injury even though Lowry was clearly playing better. And everybody was calling for the coach's head.

It's gonna be a tough decision if Lin plays well with the starting unit. More so if Brooks also plays well as the back up PG.

I don't agree with the premise that Beverley will just be handed the starting job back after he returns. If Lin plays really well, and the Rockets starting lineup jells with him in there and they are crushing people.... Maybe those are a lot of ifs, but if those things were to happen I think it would be really stupid to insert Bev back in when there isn't an big overall talent discrepancy between the two in the first place, it's not like Chris Paul was hurt and hes coming back, so u insert him right back in. I think McHale would probably stick with what is winning him games, but we'll see. They would have to do well with this starting lineup first and they need to play the games.

I don't want to see any drama during a season. if McHale or front office think bev should start, he should get his starting job after he gets back from injury. just because lin is going to play very well (I believe he will) with the starting lineup, you push bev back to the bench. it sounds ridiculous. it means you never have confidence on your own decision from day 1.

I think that is a very strange way to look at it. There are plenty of cases of players losing jobs to injuries because the fill in played excellent. Btw, what drama? It's not as if Bev is the type of player who would become furious and create controversy over coming off the bench. Doesn't matter anyhow at this point, first Lin would need to play well in Bev's absence and the team would need to win, and those two haven't things haven't happened yet.

The difference in defense is night and day between them. Lin can't stop the dribble penetration. Rockets team breaks down and their bigs pick up fouls because of it.
