ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 11/1/2013

I really liked what Howard was doing last game (DUH!), but you could see him using the moves Dream taught him in that video from a few years back and it looks like he was getting good spots on the floor.

It is probably all media BS, but he has, thus far, showed no demand to run the offense through him. If he just plays off of everyone else he will get 12-15 points from ball movement and tip ins.

Ah, thanks for the correction. Didn't notice him leaving during the game and I don't think the announcers mentioned it.

Lol. I don't think there is anything wrong with having a slow start and so "I gave him a pass" since there was no criticism of him from me and I also credited his clutch fourth quarter in the previous posts.

I have the game on file, and watched parts of the first half again. I still don't think Harden looked a step slow in the first half.

 

Less than 24 hours ago the guard rotation felt so deep with James, Jeremy and Patrick. Now we might actually need Canaan, I mean...

Let me rant for a lil bit.
Since Calderon is Jeremy's kryptonite, I was glad he wouldn't have to guard him this time around with Bevs starting, who would have hopefully locked him up a bit. Well, so much for that.
Monta just went off the other day. How a hobbled up Harden can stop that chucking beast beats me
Twin Towers looked a bit messy the other day with that irrelevant stretch 4 killing it. This time the stretch 4 is Jirk

Hopefully Chandler and Casspi's 3's are on tonight, otherwise..

Maybe my post can work as a reverse jinx.
We'll see Canaan play most of the half but only because Rockets were up by 40.

 

"Hesitant" doesn't mean he didn't try. He looked slower and considerably more cautious in driving than he usually does, to me. I (and many, many others) attribute his slow start to his injuries. That's my opinion... you're entitled to yours as well, but it doesn't make it gospel. It's okay to disagree.

 

So who's meeting up at the jack daniels bar to pregame?

 

I say closer to a month. Can't run or breathe easily with an injury there.

 

Ugh. Even reading that back is painful. My stomach dropped when he left the arena, then dropped lower when Bev left.

 

I bet my friend 10 dollars that we would lose this game. For me, it's a win-win, if we win, I will be thrilled. If we lose, I'll use the 10 dollars and self-induce myself into a food coma.

I didn't say it was gospel, it was just my opinion. Just throwing out some facts to try to make my points seem stronger. Hmm, 3 consecutive drives to the basket.:grin:. To be fair, I just noticed the announcer did say that Harden looked like he was stretching his back before taking the foul shots after one of those drives.

It's more than okay to disagree. Sometimes it fun too. :grin:
