Looking at the responses. The funny thing is that at the beginning of last year the OP would have gotten slammed for putting up such a ridiculous trade since there is no way to have gotten Gasol for so little. What a difference a year makes.:grin:

pretty deceptive topic name... I thought this was a legitmate "trade rumor". Should have titled "My thoughts on a Good Trade - Lin + Asik for Pau Gasol " IBTL.
Settle down. Abandon your mistakes quickly. The Rockets do not need scoring from the power forward position. Gasol is absolutely wasted if he is not playing center. Gasol is a free agent this summer. Asik is a rock on the defensive side and Gasol is just a plus defensive player at center.
