Hey guys. I usually keep a full beard at all times of the year, However November has been a tricky little b*stard. For those of you who don't know, No Shave November is a month of NO SHAVING YOUR BEARD. Before Nov 1st, you're supposed to clean shave your entire face then from Nov 1st until Dec 1st, you CANNOT SHAVE! No neck shaving, no high cheek shaving, etc. Anyway, I have finally fully committed this year. I would normally trim my beard thinly before the start and just grow a beast Harden like beard over the next month. But now, I have decided to go ALL-IN. I plan on updated my post with beard progression pictures every day until Dec 1st. Hopefully you guys will join in on the sharing of your no shave november beard progressions! Ladies and Gentleman, I present for your viewing entertainment.... You look younger without the beard, regardless, you should have no problem attracting attention from the seƱoritas with your new look!.. Question: Why can't you shave for a month? Hope I'm not being too personal... ....... ....... .......
It means nothing; it's just a thing people do. Men grow beards and women stop shaving their pits and legs. As someone who sports a beard year-round, I've never personally done anything different in November. There's something different but similar called "Movember," which is growing mustaches in November to raise awareness for men's health problems (I don't know how it actually helps, but whatever).
I am in. I have been doing this for years, partly to support and raise awareness to prostrate probs and treatment, but also because its the only time I can grow a beard without SWMBO raising a stink about me and my beard. I do trim the neck and upper cheek though... otherwise I look apelike.
The reason I asked, and stated that I hoped I wasn't getting too personal was, because I got the impression (my bad) that it had a religious reason, like "Ramadan". I didn't know of "Movember either, but I guess I can use both to my advantage and go rogue in November! ZZ Top look alike here I come... ....... ....... .......
I got my faux Mohawk in honor of the beard and parsons. The two lines for the bond. My new shoulder workout routine for Howard. I ain't playing with y'all.
If i try to grow a beard it comes in all white-trashy and Joe Dirt like. Must be the 1/256 injun in me.
I look like a bum if I don't shave for a week. A month would be crazy. But Imma do it anyway. Also, my facial hair tends to irritate my skin/itch after like a week and a half. Any way to stop this?
It worked for the Red Sox so why not. Only grand things like championships can come about in my life.
In Australia we call it "Movember" after mostashe, with the idea to fundraise money for men's prostate cancer
Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises awareness and funds for men's health.
