Wealth Distribution This video explained how the wealth is currently distributed. Is this right? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/QPKKQnijnsM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 9 Out Of 10 Americans Are Completely Wrong About This Mind-Blowing Fact Do you think this is ok? Do you think it is right that the money is distributed this way? Rocket River
This was posted before, but I don't mind seeing it again because I feel this is the biggest problem facing America and the world today. It's a somewhat depressing and ultimately unsustainable situation.

So basically, one person here posted a video talking about actual facts and reality, and another posted a video where a guy admits to just making up numbers, presumably to create the story he wanted to tell. Seems be a microcosm of the two parties and how they deal with issues.
He also made up numbers that he claimed "What Americans Think the Distribution Is" and that "Most People Seem to Find Ideal". A comparison isn't really useful when you make up 2/3rd of the numbers involved. The fact that you seem to have no problem with this just reinforces my point.
One of those is from a Gallup poll so also not made up. The other is made up but that's irrelevant in showing the data. The comparison is between wealth distribution and tax distribution. The fact that u bicker about something so meaningless shows how out of touch you are.
In the first one, wealth distribution is defined as, you know, the wealth of the United States. In the second, tax distribution is not defined, though the numbers cited are easily explained. Yes, the amount of taxes paid by the rich has increased over the last 30 years, but not nearly as much as their wealth has increased during the same time. The numbers cited, should one deign to look further, show a decreasing middle class as reflected by the taxes paid and an increasingly wealthy upper class buttressed by changes in the tax codes since the 1980's that are favorable to the wealthy. Since the beginning of the Reagan administration the tax rates on the rich (not to mention shelters and breaks and off-shore accounting tricks) have fallen while the wealth accumulated by this class has risen dramatically. In 1979, the bottom 99% owned about 80% of the wealth in this country. By 2010, it was down to 65%, meaning the top 1% now has about 35% of the wealth in the country. From the Reagan administration to the beginning of W's second term, 94% of the wealth generated in this country went to the top 20%. You can't look at taxes without looking at wealth and you can't just talk about tax percentages without considering what taxes are paid and what taxes are actually needed. And of course, the fed income tax is not the only tax out there and the poor and middle class are much more affected by some of those than the wealthy.
Two words, Wealth Cap. No one needs more than 100 million in assets. Anything above that should be redistributed.
If it was so irrelevant, why make things up? Why not just stick with the facts? We both know the answer: your case falls apart without the made up charts. Just look at the "reality" line on both the original video and yours - the one part that isn't made up. The bottom 3 quintiles - 60% of the country - makes up a noticably smaller portion of income than they pay in taxes. The top 20% pays less in taxes than their share of the income. Without your made up charts to compare to, the video doesn't show what you want it to show.
It is the first video that made up the numbers. He is using the numbers suggested from the first video of what is fair distribution. The first thing he shows is the results from a Gallup poll (not made up), the second is the results from the first video (made up by the first video), the third thing are actual numbers. What the hell are u talking about?
Listen to his words. The first two are "at least they act like this is how" it is dispersed based on a Gallup poll where "lower and middle class think they pay a fair share while the rich don't pay enough". So his "what people think" and "ideal" are both completely fabricated breakdowns based on people saying in a poll that lower and middle class pay a fair percentage and rich could pay more. There is nothing specific about that information.
I did listen to the words. unlike major. Is the number specific? No, but he tells you exactly where what he is printing comes from. And why would it even matter? He is comparing tax distribution to wealth distribution.
So the guys who make 50% of the income of the entire country should only pay 37% o the taxes. Interesting.
