A bit wordy, but right on. Personally, I think Lin and Beverly do fine together, and that having Lin off the bench is the right way to go. IMO, the only reason to trade Lin is if somebody offers us more value than he gives us.

Honestly, there is no statistics showing that Beverley is a better defender, just saying... He does put more pressure on the opposing PG, but he is weak in how he works with the help defender. As far as know, the overall outcome is that it does not generate a statistically significant different in how many points the opposing PG scores.

It didn't come out right. Corrected, too many defense-oriented players. Thus make the offense too predictable.

Charlotte did a great job. I was surprised but it was most definitely good. They may do good things this year. What I am worried about is that ANY lineup of ours should kill most teams but those wih good interior defense or those that play the fast break well can really make our offense bogged down and predictable. We shall see. I do think we will have a 60 win season! We're that good.

Morey said our defense was top 5 when Asik was in game. That means the problem is not about perimeter defense. Adding Howard should automatically improve our overall defense in leaps and bounds.

No, but he can limit CP3's effectiveness

Can Beverley take a rainbow, wrap it's a sigh, soak it in the sun and make a strawberry lemon pie?

LOL. CP3 is the best PG in this league, i think Bev will get foul trouble very soon.

ESPN recently wrote a biased article about Beverly starting over Lin, and many people made comments, but this post by C. Rae Kim won as Top Commenter. He brings up a lot of very interesting points I would like to share:

**** I mean I've said it, I'm a huge Lin fan, and even comments like these annoy me. If u like lin, and think he should start, say why he brings more overall to the table as a starter. Don't bash Bev, it just makes u less credible

Wonder if that was Kevin McHale or Daryl Morey :)

Also, never believe completely anything you read/see on ESPN or any of their national shows, like First Take. Stick to the local beat writers & bloggers, they have the more accurate insights.

If you watch the Bobcats game, you will notice that as a starter or backup, JLin always passes the ball to Harden so having him come off the bench made no difference since Harden generally plays 35+ min a game. Harden generally holds onto the ball and tries to score or draw fouls even when things are not going his way so it is not a surprise that the flow of the game becomes stagnant.

If the the Rockets are serious about a championship they have to play more of a team game because as good as Harden is, he cannot beat LBJ one on one.

The "a lot of very interesting points" has been said countless times on CF. The write probably just cut and pasted some posts from here.

I thought those were interesting points anyway in that comment. Sometimes its not what is said, but they WAY its said

I do like the defensive tone and mindset of starting Asik and Beverley. Its the coach saying that DEFENSE is WHAT we want and what we'll have. Its almost like a Jeff Van Gundy team again (no WONDER he picked the Rockets to win it all)

Though it creates 2 different style units one with ALL the defense, then all offense 2nd unit.
