Asians are the less discriminated people in America and yet they are always b**** and whining about racism.
So you're b****ing about other people b****ing. What race are you by the way? Want exclusive rights to b****ing lol?
You're an idiot. As noted by statements from US Reps Mike Honda and Judy Chu, this was offensive and insensitive to Asian Americans not Chinese in China. Not sure where you got the "Chinese said kill all Americans in China" part. (Unless you believe Asians are less American than white and black Americans. But that's different discussion all together.) Can you imagine a skit saying kill all Jews, or kill all Africans making it on air? Obviously not, since that would never happen. Also, would you say that would offend Jews and Africans in foreign countries? or Jewish Americans and African Americans more?
Has anyone watched the video before commenting? It's far from what a lot have portrayed. There has to be some trolling going on in here; otherwise, I just have to smh again and back out of D&D.
Obvious troll trying to get a rise out of people. The fact that you won't get banned for your comments or even have anyone calling you out shows how racism against Asians is ok. Asians are probably the most discriminated against people in this country on a social level. Why don't you talk **** in real life and not on the internet?
Oh god. They're infesting other sections of the board. Time to take my suicide pill so I don't become one of them.
Eh, kind of not funny. I don't like the idea of kids talk about genocide. A bit awkward for me. In the right setting I'd find the joke funny though. i.e. if Cartman said it. Won't comment on the Chinese angle though. I'm not the judgmental type on these sort of things.
He should not be fired. He should be required to air a serious at least 5 minute apology explaining why what he did was inappropriate and should not be seen as just being humorous. If he said to the kids, so many Mexicans are coming to live in the US. What should we do and the kid said : "go kill them all in Mexico" it would obviously not be funny and would not be aired
We have countries talking about wanting to do that every day. It wouldn't even make it on the news over here if that happened. Just another day of being America.
The Chinese have been villains in plenty of movies. In fact, other than kung fu guy, that's probably the most common role for Chinese people in Haolewood. There's only one reason they haven't been portrayed as villains more recently: Hollywood wants to market its movies in China. In any event, the average american doesn't distinguish between east asian nationalities and even in the past year, there have been numerous films where the villains were an ambiguous group of Asian people.
It's not just social racism against Asians that he denies. He also denies, or at least downplays, the very real bias against Asians in professional sports, high level corporate boardrooms, politics, and media/entertainment. I've simply put him on ignore because any argument with him always devolves into personal attacks.
People say and think all kinds of things in private that they don't in public. But, Jimmy Kimmel is a comedian and his focus is go after funny, which means he has to find that edge. He's also part of a team, and in this case I think they let each other down. I also think that boy's parents have an opportunity to use this a wake up call to examine the values they're imparting to their child.
These two dumb asses must be getting owned by LOF so they come out here and vent out their sexual frustration. There really is nothing to debate about. Both of you guys know you're homosexuals right?
