I vaguely remembered skimming through this thread and noticed this chain of messages...

Still waiting. I mean, you are a CM, right? Then finding these quotes shouldn't be backbreaking manual labor....

I also found this little nugget from August from a thread concerning a Reddit AMA that Daryl Morey did.

No need to apologize. I can see you couldn't resist the Beverley jab in your reply to me. Oh well, I'm glad I don't have to read your crap anymore.

Oh, I definitely have to respond to this :) You do not have to worry at all. As I have mentioned previously, I do not take you seriously at all, so my feelings have had zero impact / damage from whatever you said ;)

Other than that, please carry on :p

Sure. But you had to bring up Lin in this thread about Beverley. Knowing how volatile the situation is and such a tinderbox could light up at the slightest provocation. And you brought it up in such a snide, snarky way.

Not a smart thing to do at all.

Trust me, we both won't be reading each others crap anymore.

Is it really that easy to fight through a pick and roll? There is a reason why even the best defenders had a difficult time with Stockton/Malone PNR's because there were so many ways they can execute it. Willing yourself to get to your man during those situations is not as easy as we think it is.

I looked at the tape, he got faked out as he anticipated incorrectly nd but he never gave up on it and tried to get back to block the shot. That is all you can really do when playing against a good offensive player. Being a good defensive player does not mean you have to shutdown the offensive player on ALL possesions.

So weird to think about Beverley being injured. He always seems to bounce back no matter how hard he gets hit. Hopefully this is just a minor injury.

On a couple of plays yes and Lin did the same to him. Lin played very good D last night. He played better than Beverley but Beverley only played 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes Walker was kicking his butt but again it was only 10 minutes in the first game of the year so it means nothing. Good defenders get beat all of the time, it happens. I hope Beverley is back for the game tomorrow but I still think he is more valuable coming off of the bench and changing the pace of the game when he comes in.

If you couldn't see that lin plays better with the second team i dont know what else to tell you. Beverly fitted in really well with our starting 5, we just started out sloppy and couldnt make our shots. Lin played well when he did, because he fitted in better with the second team and had the floor more spaced out. Beverly's defense isn't really comparable to Lins, even the Bill and Calvin were speaking about how good of a defender beverly is. Lins defense is average at best. They both have their Pros and Cons, but it was the right decision having beverly start and lin coming off the bench.

If Mchale wants Beverley to start I"m ok with that, I stand behind the team because I'm a Rockets fan. That doesn't mean I have to agree with Mchale's decision.
Beverley only played 10 minutes so it means nothing, but saying he played well with the starters last night isn't right, because he didn't. He didn't play bad, but he consistently got beat on D and the offensive flow just plain sucked. Again it was only 10 minutes, you really can't make any real judgement on his play with so little playing time.
To say Lin is average at best on D is without a doubt wrong, he played better than Beverley did last night. I thought Lin was going to suck on D when he came here so I have always payed close attention to his D, Lin is a good defensive player.

I see Lin plays well with both first and second team. Whether Beverley fits well with the first team is yet to be seen

Ok man- you've been criticizing Lin fans for being delusional but now I see that you are the same for Beverley.

Beverley was injured in the first few minutes right?. Kemba saw how he was struggling and attacked. Plus Walker is right up there with Rose and Parker as the quickets player in the game with the ball.

Lin played good defense and his offense was top notch. He and Sisco were valueable off the bench.

So happy we got cisco back. Not only his offence but he is long, and a smart defender, did an amazing job on durant in the playoffs.

Kemba is no slouch. He and Jeremy are the PGs on my fantasy team.
