it is tough. asik is kinda a poor version of howard in the same way as lin is the poor version of harden. it is the reason some of fans and also our front office prefer lin to sit on bench.

What a god send Garcia is....and more important for Lin, his job on Kemba Walker who was pretty invisible the 2nd half.

One point I dislike starting Beverley is his offensive rebound.

The Twin Towers will handle this.
He should be more ready for transition D.

His rebound does not impress me since him crashing the boards means late getting back on transition d. We have the twin towers why do you need to go for the rebound? Twin towers already slowed down our pace we need our guards to get back asap.

Some of us know this but Brooks is known for offense and not defense

    And he doesn't that big.
His rebound may cause him injured in the paint area.

Since pre-seaosn games, I saw him foul the opponent intentionally, just because he was late getting back.

During a preseason game, Bullard relayed that Morey had said that his numbers showed it was actually more beneficial for Bev to crash the offensive boards over immediately running back on D.

Exactly pimpn, this is a new starting line up so they have to build chemistry together. I thought coming into the season we would have this starting lineup.
    Howard
    Asik
    Parson
    Harden
    Lin

Reason being because we have returning starters who already built chemistry together. And all we had to do was get Howard implement Howard's skill set into the equation.

But hey McHale knows what he is doing.

I don't know about that. Any lineup will work better if you put enough time into it, but what if it becomes clear that the ceiling offensively is lower than you need it to be. Last year the coaches were very smart for picking the offense that was natural to this roster. They barely separated themselves until they went small ball last night, it's who they are. The defense will be better regardless because we have elite rim protection for 48 mins and our guys got better.

Dwight and Omer had 40 rebounds combined ??

I think Omer has a new hairstyle. Not bad but he looks like a schoolboy =)
I can't believe he is 27 years old.

Parsons is believing his own hype. For his salary, he's awesome, but otherwise, he's a landry fields type of player. Parsons is a good complementary player but not somebody who can create for himself. Parsons is worth 5-8 mil a year.

Tell me the last time small ball run and gun won a Championship in the NBA?

Small ball also lost us a lot of games as well.

Go to last years games. Parsons was rather selfish, especially on fast breaks/

He may be a complementary type player, but he's really good at it. He opens up the court by shooting well. He stretches the floor for the pgs by running the floor well, and he gives options for Harden and Howard by cutting well and being a big target. He may be slightly overrated these days, but he's not "just" a complementary player. He's a dang good one. A great type of player to have on your team. Him and Bev, being off the ball types can especially valuable with players who are ball dominant thus bringing up his value even more. I just hope he doesn't continue to play this way feeling that this is like a contract year for him. We already added Casspi who has tunnel vision and plays selfish often. We don't want to change the culture of our team as ball movement is everything in a read n react, run n gun offense.

It's strange, it seems like McHale is asking Harden to be predominantly a passer and Lin a scorer. Is that arbitrary, wishful thinking or setting too high a standard?

Not sure if this is serious. Having James Harden and not utilizing him as your primary scoring option is the dumbest plan ever.
