Yeah, mine kept re-buffering on HD. I went to SD and it still had to chill now and again. According to my internets plan I get up to 12 Mbps, but I got frustrated and ordered XFinity internet haha. This was over a wireless connection.
Quality was great tonight. I was so glad I got in at 60.00 for the whole year. I was streaming and projecting to a 100 inch screen. It was a thing of beauty.
I had some lag. I didn't have that in the preseason. I hope it was a one time thing. It would periodically buffer for about 2-3 seconds, every 5 minutes or so.
Oh wow...didn't realize you can go back and watch games too On Demand. Nice feature. I'm watching the 1st quarter again right now. Maybe I'll check out some Michael Carter-Williams nearly putting up a quadruple double on the Heat before I call it a night.
First impression: awesome stuff, I lagged only a little bit until I figured how to view it with VLC player. After that, no lag at all throughout the night I bought a one month trial, but will probably get another 6 once it's done. Very happy with this, just hope it stays up for the entire season!
Lol... werd brotha, werd. We. Are. Officially. Spoiled. Holy ****... what TV you got? What brand?! Jealous brotha!! Were you on Central server? I didn't get any lag today, I have 12MBPS Uverse. It's gotta be your ISP. I DID THE SAME. Baahahhaa. Curry and Klay when on fire... are on fire. My goodness.
Is the bitrate set at high only? I didn't have your issue last night. This thing is so great. Let's hope it stays. Haymitch was right about it messing with the Roku. Whenever I put the volume up or down on my Sony soundbar, my screen goes black for a second or two.
You guys have convinced me, think I'm going to sign up for 3 months. Hoping that by then the CSNH debacle is resolved (doubtful).
I experienced lag and freeze ups as well. Not constantly but probably a dozen times throughout the whole game. Tried all the servers. I am also on 12MBPS Uverse and speedtest is right at 12 for download and I don't have issues with anything else. Also, in the chat, others would come in and say that they are experiencing lag/freeze up and almost always I would experience an issue right when others were posting about it. I did ask one question but didnt get a response. I am using OpenDNS instead of ATT DNS. Can that have any negative effect?
Has anyone noticed a delay between the video output through VLC vs Flash Live? I had VLC and Flash Live running at the same time to test it and VLC was about 20 seconds behind.
Unrelated to an extent as I don't use BallStreams, but I recently stopped using OpenDNS as of about a week ago. I noticed more hops on the trace route, and I think video services are taking longer to load due Open DNS likely not being close to a nearby CDN. I ended up using my ISP's DNS server for now and it has helped.
Cool. Thanks for the input. I did read about OpenDNS possibly affecting sites like YouTube and others that use CDN's. I mainly just use OpenDNS for the free parental controls that can be managed centrally instead of per computer. It would be cool if someone could test connection performance to BallStreams using their ISP's DNS vs OpenDNS
No worries, I use OpenDNS for reporting purposes. Why don't you just change the DNS to automatic on the specific device you're using for Ballstreams so you don't affect your network? That'd be a good way to find out.
