He'll be the laughing stock of the nba when jeremy consistently outplays Beverly.

They will say Ginobili/Harden as a backup also outplays any SG in the Spurs/OKC team, so it is not like uncommon.

Well McHale and Morey already traded Lin away from the team, then bought him back.
It can't get any worst then that.

The problem with Lin is, if you trade or demote him, he just comes back stronger. Dude just does't give up, no matter how hard he's hit.

Smells like a cop out if the current starting lineup doesn't work.

Sucks Bev get hurt today. Wish him a fast recovery.

Make no mistakes, this Rox need Bev as well even though I think Lin should start. They actually complement each other very well.

On a night when Harden stink like he did in the first 3 QTs tonight, Rox can really use Lin Bev combo to ride the ship and give Harden to time to settle down.

Well, yeah. He's trying something new... he should be "fluid" enough to change it up if it's not working, IMO. I don't see anything wrong with what he said.

Is Lin the 6th man or has he been benched? Because there is a bit of a difference between the two.

Seriously McHale needs to grow a pair. Pick one and stick to it. All this fluid crap is just in case Beverly doesn't work out.

Why is that a bad thing?? Would you prefer he stick to something that doesn't work, just for the sake of sticking to it?

Some of you guys will NEVER be satisfied. First there was the whining. "Even if it doesn't work out, he'll stick with it and run the team into the ground until we're an 8th seed because he'll never admit he's wrong!" Then, when he expresses willingness to switch things up depending on what works best for the team -- the reasonable thing most fans suggested he would do all along -- that's a problem too.

I don't think there's anything he could do or say that would be okay for some people.

He was benched. No one has mentioned a sixth man role outside of posters who'd agree with anything as long as Lin gets benched. The minutes are Bevs to lose as if the team plays well, Lin will not get the minutes unless he is playing great and that is what a bench player is. A sixth man is a strategic role to bring a secondary offensive attack and typically FINISHES OUT GAMES.

I read a post the other day where a poster was arguing how Lin is a scrub, a bench player at best, that we should trade him, then said in the very next comment that "yeah Lin would be a great sixth man. Let's do that cuz it'll be perfect for him!" Lol. On that site, he's there now saying how this proves that he's a better bench player. Then he said AB is still a better player and should get more minutes after seeing today's game! Lol. I swear..

Anyways, I love the rebounding, hate the isos, and wish Bev a speedy recovery. Go Rockets! 1 down, 81 more to go!
