    Most likely Garcia is mixed, since the Dominican Republic is majority mixed.

    Technically, Black is still used.

    I'm an ethnic studies major, so I don't mean to offend anyone.

    Hispanic is more identified as an ethnic group since it's based on culture. It's kinda weird since it depends on the country on how the terms are used. Semantics really.

    On the official US census form, Hispanic and Black/African-American are separated.

    Blacks/Afro descendants are also acknowledged on the Dominican Republican census.

    especially in states like California, the Hispanic population is huge, specifically Mexican. They also sometimes get their own category, like Filipinos from Asians.

    But Hispanics/Latinos are very diverse.

    Many of you guys may quite possibly be r****ded.

    Battier is half black and half white. Garcia looks partially black to me as well because of his hair. How much black does he have in him? I don't know.

    But he's from the Dominican Republic, and there is a lot of black/native/white, etc. mixing there.
