Man, what a luxury to have two of the best defensive big-men in the league...

    I love it.

    Do not trade Asik.

It's not a luxury, though. At the moment, it's necessity.

We cannot put in D-Mo/Smith/Jones at the 5 and expect to mount a respectable defense.

Dwight and Asik have half of all available boards at this point.

    Ridiculous.

Sixers still on top of Heat. Good for Hinkie man. He will forever be my bro for dumping Royce for us.

The only way we can offset the loss of Asik in a trade is getting a premier scoring PF that can score inside and outside. Because we lose major interior D and rebounding without Asik. I just don't think any elite scoring 4 is available that the other team will just want Asik alone or even Asik and Lin. And Ryan Anderson is not an elite 4.

Unfortunately, that is the truth. Right about Ryan Anderson too. He is a decent role player.

40 boards for Dwight & Asik, 37 for the Bobcats. That's just domination

    40 Freaking rebounds.

To put that in context, average NBA team grabbed 42 RPG last year.

Still tons of potential pitfalls with that duo, but the good points are certainly apparent

I can't see any teams in the WORLD could out-rebound us.
We lost some offense on Asik, but we will out-rebound out opponents by 10-20 rebounds EVERY NIGHT.

    Asik was -1 though.

Not to be the party pooper here! Just the one game, obviously. But we know the Dwight plus stretch group works well, too... especially offensively.

Morey is waiting for the right trade. at this point it's obvious he's not trading for a Ryan Anderson... he's holding out hope for an LMA type

We can't win a title without those boards.

Yeah it's amazing, but they have to be able to score with those extra possessions. I know most lineups take a while to work but tonight it was really ugly, low scoring, assists and shooting eff. They played like they were released from the TT cuffs when coach put that small ball lineup in.

A lot of coaches want to be in Mchale's shoes right now. They did expose the weakness of the twins when they started scoring from the top of the 3 point line with one of their bigs. It's the coaches job to adjust and not all teams have that luxury. Dwight will have to learn to occasionally close out all they way to the top of the 3 point line just to put a hand in their face, Bosh actually does that very well.

I hope it's because of Bobcats, but I didn't enjoyed this game at all with that slow offense. Also couple of injuries in first game, that sucks.

Can anyone develope a shot chart on how the opposing team shoots when Howard and Asik are on the floor together? I've definitely been looking forward to this.

Man I wish we could play the Deron Williams Jazz with this team....they always outrebounded us with Boozer and Millsap.
