There was a little bit of everything in this game. I'm thankful this was the first game to have to start the season.

No blow out so Rockets aren't feeling themselves.

Rockets won despite not having a great game on the Break and TO's

Dwight can work in the post when Rockets need a Basket and the game is slowed down

When Dwight was feasting in the paint Lin didn't recognize that he had to get him the ball in the post no matter what.

Twin Tower exposure with McRoberts dropping bombs from downtown and a quick adjustment by mchale.

Starters going down with injuries and Lin holding court with Harden out momentarily and AB stepping up with Beverley out entirely.

Dwight and Asik Domination of the glass and the D in the paint.

    Garcia is an absolute steal.

Rockets might have used up all the good shooting in the preseason!

This game was never in doubt IMO, but I'm happy the Rockets struggled and found a way to win with Howard and Harden leading the charge in the 4th.

I loved that H2H connection on that alley-oop pass. They must have a secret signal. Perfect timing

And that Howard dunk after he shooed away his teammates to clear the lane. Great pass by Harden.

And I love it that you can let Lin loose and do his thing with or without Harden.

Compared to last year, he's more under control when he drives. Still wreaking havoc in the lane and tonight he shot 2 3s

First game with the Asik and Howard it can only get better. Need to see how well the tandem can get, no need to trade Asik. IF a trade is to be made the team needs to wait till December and give the twin tower look a chance till then. GO ROCKETS!!

They work together in certain situations but the advantage of having them both on the team is obvious. One of them is always on the floor providing defense and rebounding and that already looks to be more valuable than what we could get for trading Omer especially when considering the pieces on this team.

Omer is better defensively than any player you could get for him and Parsons/Casspi already provide the stretch 4 option that you'd probably look to get in a potential Asik trade.

We are absolutely stacked at the center position and it's probably the best move to leave it like that.

Garcia and Lin sparked the scoring off the bench. The two towers out-rebounded the cats. Harden sealed it.

What a win with a lot of rust to be shaken off. Yeah, I'm also talking about free-throws too.
