It has been said multiple times, Rockets do not make money off of overseas sales. Also his stats are "great." They aren't bad either but they also are not untouchable. Meshing with players is more important. Winning creates relevance, not playing one person because a certain ethnicity wants you to.

Seriously, you weren't around for the playoffs? The ABL crowd had been dormant for over a month because Lin had a great April (and post-all star half, in general). Then game 1 against OKC happened and they slithered out from beneath the cracks to celebrate his supposed downfall.

he hasn't played enough to foul out but he averaged 2 fouls in less than 20 min last year

He does foul alot but that is the nature of his game. His defense is very disruptive and pesky but it comes at the cost of fouls. Though this occurs it is worth it. This is a problem now is if he picking up unecessary fouls quickly it wont help him or the Rockets. I havent watched the preseason games carefully enough to see if hes been doing okay in that category. This isn't something that cant be fixed though. Also worst case if Bev gets fouled Lin comes in so we get a better player (offensively) off the bench. Bev is in the starting lineup for defense and spot up shooting (which im alittle fishy about but he does have moments) so he cant change the style that got him there. Either way we got Lin or Bev coming in at point guard so we are good!!!!

Not the same thing. People criticized Lin for not playing. The (sorry) poster said that Lin was blamed for the team not advancing.

I find it hard to believe that anyone besides maybe the microcosm of people to whom Jeremy determines the success and failure of not only the Rockets but mankind in general would have made such a claim.

That's what I dont actually get, man. I'm no LOF. But it seems to me some people in clutchfans think the guy is playing for the opposite teams instead of the rockets. Lol

Been a houston fan since the Olajuwon era, but only joined recently when we were chasing Howard as i believed this team will be something else.

But as a newby seeing guys constantly argue and argue about the same things all over again and again, i feel sad for Lin really.

Whatever he does, around here, it's really a no win situation for him. Some of the guys now say that he'll be like MAnu (Lin wont as Lin is Lin and Manu is Manu) with great stats to boot in the bench, but i foresee many of these guys will again claim that the supposed better stats from Lin are padded. See the point?

It's tiring really. Lin as cool as he is as a rocket is pretty divisive as a player amongst fans, and i don't really understand why.

Whoa, did not see this lineup coming. You gotta give props to McHale if he goes through with this lineup.

    Bev-Harden-CP-Dwight-Asik

I don't know what to expect but this is gonna be real interesting

It's the line up the last two games, and one which the opposing teams had a hard time. I'm excited, man.

Most us real fans don't dislike Lin, we just don't think he is that good. Apparently his legion of idol worshiper cannot tolerate that. The argument comes from the garbage that are ONLY fans of Lin who pollute this awesome site for god knows what reason like a suffocating fart that never goes away.

No one hates Lin the person or player. He is a better than average rotation guy who can really help this team. Lin fans however are more annoying and delusional than Yankees, Cowboys and Lakers fans combined. This fanbase (including all of the "racist" who hate Lin) LOVED and still love Yao. There is no racism on this board, there is only hatred for people who believe Lin is the end all and be all of this team. Again the hate is not towards the player, it is only the annoying fans ruining this board.

I hope Bev plays with the same intensity. Don't let the fouls deter him. Continue hounding the other pg. We have arguably a better pg to spell him now anyways. Depth is great.

    Just heard the McHale interview.

Basically said that the PG situation is fluid and it is not permanent. Also said that he thinks Jeremy is a much improved player and that he will be playing big minutes still.

Main reason for the switch is he thought at this time both players mesh better with their respective groups but that can change.
