It seems like the majority believe Lin will average 30+ minutes aka 6th man minutes off the bench. I personally don't see McHale playing him that much, maybe 25 minutes max. It will be interesting to see how many minutes he ends up averaging when the season is over. I think ultimately it will come down to his play on the court and McHale.

Can't see McHale giving Lin more than 20 minutes...maybe 25 minutes tops.

Anywhere between 25-30 minutes. It'll be on the high end if Lin finishes the games.

15-20 minutes, max. Inn Mchale's eyes Beverley is the preferred pg coming into this season, plus the fact Lin was on a really short leash last season there is no way Mchale plays him anymore than 20 minutes avg.

its going to be longgggg season, mchale let parsons and haren play through thier cold periods last year got their stats. Lin had a short leash as a starter douglas then bev would go in quick if a turnover happened. Now as a 6th man bench whatever its even easier for mchale to throw bev (starter) right back in there. Bev will have bad periods too so I wanna see if mchale will pull him like he did lin. So only time will tell!!!!

Manu was certainly a sixth man, and most of the years in his prime he was only getting 25-30. I expect the point guard who starts to get around 32 and the one who comes off the bench to get around 26.

30 minutes. Morey said they want to drastically increase Bev's minutes. I see Bev with 30 and Lin with 30.

    - 36 minutes of Harden, 12 minutes of Lin-Bev combo back up...or more depending on if Harden gets minutes at the 3 running with a Bev-Lin-Harden lineup (Morey suggested this as a 4th quarter closer line up)

    - 18 minutes of Bev PG, 18 minutes of Lin PG

When Bev and Lin get less than 30 minutes, I think those minutes will go to Garcia at the 2 spot.

Don't see how there is a correlation.

They didn't move Lin to the bench to hide him, and avoid his deficiencies. They moved him to the bench to give him a featured role.

25 minutes per game, so I voted 25-29.

Also, glad to see another Lin thread as there were only 7 on the first page of the GARM.

As any good coach should be judged it's all about how many minutes he gives to Lin.

Lin gets 48 minutes. McHale surpasses Pop and all the others as best coach.

As Lins minutes go down from there his place in the pecking order is lowered.

    I don't know... I really like the Bev/Lin/Harden/Parsons/Howard line-up midgame.

If Lin is under-used again and this team loses, McHale's gonna hear it from everyone.
